My Trip Report

9 nights, 10 days in Vegas. March 31st - April 9th

I'll just hit the high points, Try to keep this short.

I hadn't been to Vegas since Jan. 2014, due to my babysitting job.

I was notified in February that my services were no longer required as my Daughter in Law's services were no longer required! I was Free!

I hadn't been feeling the Vegas love in my offers, but like many on the board, the M life spring offer was awesome for me (3 nights in a "suite", $350 free play, and $300 resort credit), I was itching to use it!

I set up 3 days at the Bellagio, 3 days at our time share and 3 days at NYNY ( I had never stayed there, but I liked their Vibe, the offer was 3 nights, $125 free play, $50 resort credit. - more my normal)

I lined up my wife's and my "My Vegas Rewards":
Dinner Buffet, Bellagio
Lunch Buffet, Bellagio
TENDER - Luxor $75 credit
Times Square Bar - $50 credit
Mandalay Bay Din Buff
Monte Carlo $50 Food Credit

I checked my bank cards and redeemed:
$75 OUTBACK gift cards (We have eaten at the Outback over Casino Royal so many times, I've lost count)
$75 PF CHANG gift cards (BeeJay suggested PF Chang's at Planet Hollywood to us Years ago at MMVIII, we've loved it ever since, the nearest at home is 30 miles away)

I saw a restaurant that was a one minute walk from my timeshare on Groupon and bought it. (I later saw 2-4-1's at Verizon rewards and AARP rewards)
Green Dacha Grill - $30 groupon

I did get the My Vegas rewards for the Gospel Brunch and drinks, but it was Easter and we couldn't use them ( we love this venue, but I cursed them and hoped no one showed up [I walk to get the tickets to Mandaly from Bellagio while my wife is at the Spa on Wednesday - not much of a walk with the trams] - no I am not religious, so it was an empty curse)

I could have bought more, but one of my foibles is I over plan. I try to control it. ( just like I am trying to keep this short!)

We landed Tuesday, March 31st, at 9am in the morning, by 9:45 AM we were driving north on the strip, enjoying the low volume of morning traffic, checking out the sights and new venues. We hit Fremont street for Taco Tuesday at the little bar/restaurant that is owned by Hennessy's next to the entry point to Slotzilla (we love their Fish Tacos plate 2-4-1 on Tuesday). After lunch, and a little Bar top Gambling, we walked down and checked out the Container Park, It looked like a fun place!

Then we went to the Bellagio to check in.

Bellagio Dinner Buffet that night - great as always.

My wife went for a Spa day on Wednesday, I gambled. when she got out, we dressed stopped at Hyde for a couple drinks and went to Prime

AS far as Prime, I'm Sorry if I can't give you all great critiques on these Restaurants. I LOVE BUFFETS, never met one I didn't like. Hell, I LOVE MC DONALDS, Prime was wonderful also! My wife seemed to like it, but then again TACO BELL is in my wheelhouse. I loved Prime

We ate Breakfast at the Bellagio Cafe twice, I have to shamefully admit I pulled a out of date gold card to beat the line that was quite long (That gold card was legit by the end of the trip - goal reached)

My wife didn't like Mandalay Buffet.

Tender was Very good!

We actually had two finds this trip. At Bellagio, we stopped at a little place called SNACKS (near the sports book). I had never seen it before. It was wonderful, we had Chicken Wraps, ate at a central table that was 20 feet long, loved the food, loved the camaraderie. We went back again. Love at first sight! Love at second!

The Second was "GREEN DACHA" this is out West Tropicana, Past Orleans Casino, before Jones on the south side of the street. A new Russian Restaurant, My wife and I agreed, Great food, cheap, huge bottles of Russian Beer. Our Waiter was born in Florida, Moved to Russia when he was a toddler, Moved to Israel. served in the army there, and then moved back to the USA. If that isn't interesting enough, they have hookahs and karaoke! "WE VILL BE BACK" Wife - Beef Stroganoff, I had Chicken Kiev.

We ate at the Black Bear Diner, (a couple blocks west of our timeshare) my wife had Biscuits, sausage and gravy (you all know what Flusher would say), I had a Burger, The food was good, but a little on the cool side.

We were saddened that our Favorite Dive Bar, Magoo's on West Tropicana was locked up, shut down.

My wife was actually mad at me that we didn't go to In and Out.

The Gambling highlights:

Nice hit

No, we did not have a winning trip, but I came back with my money belt and wallet full of hundreds, we lost 1/4 of what I expected. I'm ready to go back again!

We actually did so well, I sent my wife to the NYNY Spa, for another Spa day!

We also played a few slots, on the last full day at NYNY my wife and I sat down at a two seater in front of the Check in desk and worked it up to $300 in about 10 minutes, we cashed out, walked a few steps and saw this:

For the My Vegas fans at the NYNY
[IMG]

My favorite My Vegas game! I had walked by it numerous times and never looked at it! We sat down and 10 minutes later we cashed out another $300!

We took a ride out to Red Rock.

We checked out the Linq, what a great remodel!

Although we had a free show in the Bellagio offer and 2-4-1 in the NYNY offer, there was nothing that we hadn't seen or cared to, that fit our schedule. We went to "Menopause" at Harrah's. Great show for us older folks that have gone through it! Entertaining, Funny. I ended up with one of the four women in my lap singing a number.

We spent more time downtown.

The SW flight home was delayed an hour, because the plane was coming out of Chicago, weather. Aborted the 1st landing try in Milwaukee, when it was 50 feet off the ground, circled, and made it the second time!

Went to the Doctor for my annual checkup yesterday, everything was good, except one of my liver enzymes was up - Now how did that happen?

Thanks for the TR.....good VP hits...Where was that 20x multiplier when you had the Royal (I'm assuming by the 7x 3 credit bet that the machine was a double super times pay machine)

That multiplier only hits good about once a trip for me, I was glad to see the 5X on the Four 4's even though I couldn't hit a kicker

And yes, that is a double super times, I'm beginning to like those machines, I hit a hand pay last trip on one at the Mirage.

Awesome, the 10 line, DSTP at the quarter level is one of my favorites machines, but it can get pricey if you are not getting any hits.....best multiplier I ever hit was a 13x... (8x in the initial spin and then a 5x added to it on the second spin)

Nice hits! Sorry you didn't snag some kickers but must have been a hoot to see the fours come up with the 5x!

Great trip report. Thanks for writing. I love that spot in Hyde. I wanted to enjoy a drink there with DBueler during our last trip but we had so much packed in there was no time. We are meeting again in Vegas for the week leading into July 4th and I definitely will stop there this time (and we are going to leave more free time in our itineraries. :))

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the VP pics of great wins on my FAV VP game -- Double STP DDB! Congrats on the wins!

Nice report and nice hits! Also love Double STP! Probably one of Mirage's best options for a nickel player (6/5 bonus). Where was the dealt four 2s with ace at? 9/5 DDB for quarters is a good find especially on the strip!

Sounds like you need to play this game more. I've hit 20X twice. Lol Way above expectation (1 in 532,396 to hit a 20X) on that feat . But only a high pair for my only win. :( I would have rather had two dealt royals instead (1 in 649,740 to hit a dealt royal).

Yes, I played a lot of different games, but it seems my best hits that I bothered to photograph, were on the Double Super Times Game.

About 1/10 of my play was on those. That tells me something! (I'm not sure what)

I hit a Bunch aces / 234's with kickers on other machines, but they were just one out of three lines, so I didn't bother taking the pictures.
