Reported to be back on four of the machines with the curved screens at $1, $2, and $5 denominations.

Wow that’s promising. Use to be my home base downtown when they had 9/6 Jacks on the bartops and the craps table and double deck BJ was $5. The good ole days.

At the dollar level? They still have a long way to go to get back where they were. I believe the ‘scratchers’ were good for hands of 4OK or higher (straight flush, and royal). If all you got was $2 for every scratcher, the return on the game was 99.94%. It was not uncommon to have to wait for a seat there during prime times……and the bartenders were great friends! Oh, the good old days!

vpfree2.com is also now reporting that 9/6 JoB is back at Fremont and The Cal as well, on Super Star II machines!

Definitely an improvement. Hopefully Boyd will continue on in this right direction (I can hope, can't I?).

  • Downtown casino crawl once again!
Good news. With Boyd bringing back the good JOB pay tables to their bars downtown, perhaps it can add some pressure on some other properties down town to do the same.

  • First round for 2026
Definitely good news. Now if we could just earn tier credits lol But none the less since I'm over 50 I'll be racking up those 10X points on those machines on Tuesday next trip. 1000 hands per hour 10x points that's $12.50 in free play per hour playing quarters.

Interesting. I'm over 50 as well. Is this a temporary promotion or is 10x points on Tuesdays a regular offer for those over 50?

Vegas properties only. Young At Heart promotion. They've been doing it for years. I can't remember if you have to swipe at kiosk to activate it or not. A few more less significant benefits depending on the property. Should be stuff on their websites explaining it all.

Young at Heart details are here: Young At Heart

But, check the fine print! Requires a kiosk swipe, and don't bother if you are Ruby - it's Sapphire and above.
