    My Trip Report

Ah....one of those days where I don't really remember the morning. Something to do with the frostbite that I experienced from the a/c in the room I believe! Was so exhausted at bedtime that I actually could not fall asleep. Went down to Nosh in Bally's for breakfast for a bagel w a schmear and some coffee. Friends walked over from Flamingo & we grabbed car from valet (can you say I LOVE valet???) and headed to Mandalay Bay. Strolled thru looking at shops & scenery. DF's hubby went to penny slots & she and I had lunch at Rum Jungle. AWESOME sandwiches. We headed to Rio in mid-afternoon for the Float rides. It was an absolute blast. Nice for the backstage view & great to have the view from up above the casino floor. Played the slots for awhile until my g.f.'s son & co-worker came and then headed for the Seafood buffet at the Rio. Food was great as always. And expensive, LOL.

After the buffet the guys headed to casino floor & g.f. & I went to Chippendales. What a show!!! And as they say.....What happens at Chippendales Never happened...... so we will just leave it at that.

We headed back over to the strip & went to our own hotels. I decided that with the lack of sleep last night I was going to have a sleep aid or two tonight. So after an hour or so and a couple of Malibu & pineapple juices, I was feeling a LOT more relaxed. Ended up STILL playing on Thursdays money so I was still a happy camper in the gambling arena. Refused the 3rd Malibu as I was having serious doubts I would even remember WHERE my room was at that rate. Upstairs and crawled into bed and sleep like the dead. Awesome!!!

    8/11 - The days are a blur......

In the famous words I believe of Calvin & Hobbs, the days are a blur. I grabbed a bagel again at Nosh - didn't feel like braving the crepe' line at Paris and not hungry enough for a buffet. Played the penny slots for quite a long time until friends called. Picked them up and we met son for lunch at Aloha' something. Pretty good lunch but my tummy didn't agree with it. Either that or it was the leftover effects of the Malibu & pineapple.......I dropped them back off at their hotel and I headed back to pick up my mini pepsi cans from the Suite promo at Bally's/Paris. If they blink within 2 hours of picking them up you win something. Well two hours later (I really wanted a nap....) I had no blinkies but had actually won back all money to a break even point - awesome!!!! Made me forget about the tummy ache. Changed into something slinky and headed for a quick supper at NYNY. Was going to go to NFI but the bartender i knew was gone so I just went down to America. Had a craving for a burger so a patty melt fit the bill.

Headed over to Orleans for George Carlin. Parking was awful because of the Kiss/Pretenders/Journey (whoever???) concert same night. Only one i'm sure of in that venue is Kiss. But valet was available & I made it with time to spare. George was crude, disgusting, offensive and absolutely SPECTACULAR. A great great show. Literally ran out to get into valet line and was lucky enough to have car brought within 10 minutes. There were a few hundred people waiting out there but they were very heavily staffed so no one was getting uptight. Was overtired and made the mistake of crossing back over to the stirp & had to fight Sat night traffic. But only about 15 min to Paris. Headed in and played the slots again & managed to keep money rolling and actually gain about $50 or so. Dragged my tired body upstairs and collapsed into bed again..........

    8/12 - what a day........

Ate a nice steak & eggs at Cafe' St. Louis. Service stunk which is not normal for this place. Especially in the Platinum/Diamond area. But food was good. I think the problem was the waiter in that area went on break and another girl was watching two sections. I'm glad I know what the service is supposed to be like here!

Played a few more penny slots and learned how to do Rapid Roulette. Stuck in a 20 and took out $75. Yeah! Headed to Bills to enter the Money Machine drawing ticket for 1:30 - they draw 5 ? names to participate in the machine. Stuck $40 into penny machines & took out about $158 from Wild Tiles. Fun when the bonus hits! Went over to listen to names & I was the 3rd one drawn - 45 seconds later I had $195! A nice young couple waiting watched my Cleo machine while it ran thru the bonus as I did the money grab. I was so excited I went to hit cash out and accidentally hit max bet button. ($4). Hit the bonus & it paid $459. So that was one profitable stop at Bills! Then scrambed to Forum shops to get a few gifts then up to TI for Mystere'. That was an excellent show (especially at $50). LOL. But it's definitely a mystery to me as to the plot etc - so I imagine thats why they call it Mystere', LOL. TI took $100 of my money and I waited about 40 minutes for valet. They sure need more staff at that place. People were complaining continually. Back to Paris for penny slots & then an 11 pm late supper.

Can this trip be over already???

Up around 8 and pushed my luck on time all the way to the airport. Checked in at 10:45 for a 12:05 flight. But made it ok! Love that new rental facility for ease of in and out and returning car. Good idea.

Came home & deposited my extra money and bought my son a promised PS3 (part of college grad gift). Still have $800 towards my next trip. YEAH.
