    Dino,

Great TR and congrats on the big win!

We are heading to the Mirage on 11/11. First time staying there. Any suggestions on things to do? Any specific guidelines on rooms there?

Also, with regards to the poker room, has anyone played there? What should I expect?

    Thanks,

    Bob

    Bob,

The rooms aren't huge but they're very nice and the hotel in general is easy to navigate. If you're a meat lover, I'd highly recommend going to dinner at the Samba Grill and having the "all you can eat" Brazilian BBQ...it's $35/pp as I recall. They have a nice poker room and I see in the gaming brochure that was in the room (and that I of course read "after" I got home) that they have tournaments (single table I assume) every evening. Not sure what the buy-in is or what their rules are on re-buys but worth checking out. Have fun ~ Dino

I played at the Mirage poker room last year. With one exception, the dealers were friendly and ran a good game. [IMG] The players there were probably a little better than average.

Here is the current information for the weekly tournaments:

    The Poker Zone Tournaments

    Sunday: 5:00 p.m.
    No-Limit Texas Hold'em
    $330 Buy-in with unlimited $200 Re-Buys for the 1st hour with 1 Add-on.

    Monday: 7:00 p.m.
    Limit Texas Hold'em
    $130 Buy-in with unlimited $100 Re-Buys
    for the 1st hour with 1 Add-on.

    Tuesday: 7:00 p.m.
    No-Limit Texas Hold'em
    $130 Buy-in with unlimited $100 Re-Buys
    for the 1st hour with 1 Add-on.

    Wednesday: 7:00 p.m.
    Limit Texas Hold'em
    $230 Buy-in with (1) $200 Re-Buy
    anytime during the 1st hour.

    Thursday: 7:00 p.m.
    No-Limit Texas Hold'em
    $230 Buy-in with (1) $200 Re-Buy
    anytime during the 1st hour.

I think they still run one-table satellites during the afternoon that can be a cheap way of getting into the evening tournaments.

Where can one purchase Bob Dancer's software? We will be going to "Happy Land" again in April 2005. So it's best to brush up early and often. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
