7* companion vs. regular Diamond card. Opinions?

My BFF, who is the recipient of my 7* companion card, is contemplating actually MAKING "real" Diamond (using the Quest for rewards).

So, if he makes Diamond, should I consider making someone else my 7* companion?

The only thing that I see that the 7* companion gets is access to the 7* valet at CP (and select other casinos)

Yes, but once you designate someone, you can't switch.

If your BFF makes diamond on his own, I would think he unlocks the vast majority of perks that he would get with the 7* companion card.

So maybe just give the companion card to your regular BF...

as pfunk said, once you give it to someone, it is theres till the expiration date, you cant take them off and add someone else...

Completely understood. I haven't renewed it yet, and we will have a discussion before then.

once it expires at the end of the year, you can then add someone else or give it to the same person again...
