ok, Im no longer in Paradise no more short trips for me!

I have to say it, I am quite underwhelmed by the Cosmo room renos. Kinda bland, not enough lighting, just not my thing. I found the older rooms to be more evocative & unique. The new terrace furniture is nice. but that is all I liked. And the circle wallpaper, that was ok-ish.

The hotel staff is still the best. There were some incorrect mini bar charges but they were no problem to fix.

We didn't get to Frankies which was a bummer. How do I say this... some in my party are getting older and more settled. I still love running around all over Vegas!

Also, new to me. In contrast to the women in police s&m gear, there are now pairs of ripped, shirtless men offering to take a pic with you. Something for everyone in Vegas!

Overall it was a great trip, very grateful to spend time together in such a nice room. I didnt gamble as much as I would haved liked to, but the trip was so short. And we did get to the pool often. Gonna stay for much longer next time. Which could be soon.

    Until next time Vegas! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Whoa, what room type is that at Cosmo? I don't recognize the layout at all. Where the hell is the bed?

Please don't tell me that's a Terrace Suite. Oh shit, I think it is.

Did they gouge out the kitchenette/bar area? Nooooooooo.

Yeah, I figured that was going to happen. Still sad.

Yeah I knew the appliances were going but wasn't sure what they were going to do with that space. If I'm right,
    • The area where the dining table and circular overhead light fixture is - used to be the kitchen/bar
    • The wall where the counter and the 6 round pictures is - used to be where the oval table and "booth" seating was
    • The bedroom is off-screen to the left in the first picture
I can't tell what is underneath the TV but it sure doesn't look like a desk.

I don't like anything I see in those pics compared to the old room. All that counter and shelf space gone from the kitchen and loss of the desk removes a huge amount of utility, and the decor is dumbed down.

Yes. We made a lot of use out of the kitchenette/bar area...as well as the desk under the television.
I got a lot of work done and was able to charge and spread out our electronics as needed.
We will have to rethink our stays here because it made combining necessary work/relaxation more appealing.

Sorry to hijack your excellent trip report, @carolineno. Finished ranting now.
Thanks so much for the pictures. Helps a lot.

Thanks for your great report. I wonder how you can do a Boston to LAS trip for a few days since the flight takes it out of me— especially those Jet Blue red eyes. Kudos for all the good pictures, food and gambol fun!

Yes I agree, @carolineo , sorry for the diversion. I'm glad you posted those pics, they're actually the first I've seen of the new layout outside of the bedroom. The Cosmo website has a mix of old and new pics.

Hope you get to go MUCH longer next trip...

Lost your phone twice and your glasses at least once....? That’s sloppy Vegas.

Glad you found your phone. I lost my new iphone 5 a few years back and never found it and it was never turned into last and found. I have lost my glasses 3 times, twice at Aria and once at Mirage and they had them everytime at lost and found.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us!
