I think there should be a $500 bill. It would make carrying cash around Vegas a lot easier.

Franklin Roosevelt could be the face.

The US is more likely to get rid of $100 bills than reintroduce $500s. They are a huge counterfeiting risk.

5 20's or maybe 2 50's, but they'll probably want to get rid of 50's too.

It might be great for you Breeze, but try to think of the bartender or cashier who has to break it.

Nothing. The not to distant future could quite possibly be cashless. Bummer for Vegas culture but maybe casino chips will become even more currency like around town.

Makes me recall the 100-10,000$ bills you used to see at the Binion display. They were neat just to stand and examine when visiting. Thanks for saving me more time to gamble Becky. (Never took a picture close up but they were pretty neat)

The govt considered getting rid of 100's a couple years back and backed off temporarily, they say it will reduce crime that uses cash, it's really about control.

Seriously, within about 2 more generations of smart phones, you won't need anything else.

Everyone will have a scanner and there will be no need for cash.

Anything is better than Susan B's. CW's hated them.

One of the worst beatings I took in Las Vegas was when I allowed the bank to give me all 50's.
Never Again! It's $100 Hunny's all the way or nothing! I'll go to more than one bank if I have to!

The argument I've heard for why we don't see the $500 bills and up is as noted above, it makes it difficult to move obscene amounts of cash by the criminal element. It will be interesting to see how the casino industry adapts to an era where nobody uses cash. Likewise, what happens if you win $1,000 on a slot machine? I doubt we'll ever see cash go away, but given I have paid 50 cents for downtown Milwaukee parking via my credit card and have seen vending machines that will sell me a single Diet Pepsi via credit card, I suspect I'll see plenty of people go cash free in the years to come. I know people already do it, and Uber users complained about Uber promoting tipping without a line item on their app to include the tip.

Dealers could scan the amount you want to debit or place on your credit card, then issue chips in that amount.

Sadly, hand pays will just be a card swipe. For that matter, we won't need hand pays.
