Has anyone seen $5 craps at the Cromwell? I will be there Saturday through Wednesday, I think the best time would be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, really early, but I'm not sure if they ever flip to $5 tables.

    Thanks.

I would be completely shocked if you could find $5 craps at a place like Cromwell. Might have to go lower on the CET food chain to find it. I did play $5 (I'm about 85% sure if was $5, if not $10) craps at Margaritaville next door early on a weekday not too long ago.

Yeah, but I think those tables have moved. I do know O'Sheas at LINQ is $5, everyday starting at noon. Since I am staying at LINQ, this works out really well.

Unless something has changed recently, Cromwell has $5 craps on weekdays during the day at the table at the front of the resort. 100% I have seen this on multiple weekdays during the day.

Please ignore the above posters unless someone comes back with recent, specific evidence that this has changed. My gut is it hasn't because they still have liberal 21 and the great bank of quarter VP. This casino is trying to get players in.

IIRC Cromwell also has a drink special weekdays during the day at the main bar that is very good for the LV Strip. I think it was $2-3 for beer and $4-5 for a decent mixed drink. Runs from 9 am - 6 pm or something like that.

Given how Cromwell has been setting up their gaming floor, I wonder how badly they are hurting. I like the look of the place, but I don't see the place very busy when i walk through. I wish Nevada gave individual casino revenue info publicly, so we could see how bad it is.

I was there Tuesday, May 2nd of this year at 1030AM. I played on their $5 craps table for over on hour, when, at the pits call, they raised the table to $10. At that point over half the table colored up, including myself as they don't grandfather you in at the lower limit. I guess they did me a favor as I more than doubled my buy in of $100. I then went to Ellis Island and ate, drank and made more money on the cheap. LOL:feedme:

Played every day at the Cromwell during my last trip in June (usually in the morning), and never saw a $5 craps table. They used to guarantee that, but I haven't seen it for awhile.

In march they had $5 craps but it was blink and you missed it. When they flipped the table they didn't grandfather the players so everyone coloured up and left.

Played 5$ craps Wednesday afternoon at Cromwell. Third session of the week here.
A few other players at the table. I was winning from the dont's and having fun.
Rest of their casino is DEAD. Pit critter decides to move table to 10$. Players all objected and asked for 'grandfathering'.
Pit critter (old skinny white haired guy) snaps 'NO' at us. Super grumpy and I wasn't impressed. I dump my 3k in chips in a pile on the table to colour up.
Others all colour up and move on.
Seems to have gone downhill since I played a lot here last year. Good dealers gone, some breakin dealers. Limited English aptitude. Miserable pit critters.

Kind of a bummer to hear so many reports that the crews are really surly and/or incompetent at Cromwell. I've always dug the vibe of the place and have played a lot there. I was excited by this recent highly-publicized push for "gambler-friendly" rules and minimums, but it sounds like maybe the execution is lacking.

I still wanna check out the new sports book, but maybe I'll just avoid the tables this time around.

I played with a fantastic 21 dealer there. Black guy who is an immigrant from East Africa (I recall Eritrea). Go play when he is there.

I've had recent good sessions with the BJ dealers, as well. I've just heard a lot about their crews at the craps tables.

There's a lady who's also a BJ dealer at Flamingo that was from Eritrea. She was great. Craps was pretty dead at Cromwell when I was there last Sunday but they did have quite a few $10 BJ tables with 3:2 both shoe and double deck.

That is very encouraging about the BJ games. Hope they stick with it and maybe migrate it towards other CET properties.

I was there Monday August 21. $5 100X craps until about 4:30 or so when they upped it to $10. They also had $10 3:2 8 Deck with H17, DAS and surrender, plus $15 double deck 3:2 with H17, but no DAS or Surrender. The dealers at Blackjack and Craps were friendly, so was the pit!

Definitely will be going back if they keep up these odds and limits! I made sure to fill out the email survey they sent me and let them know I was very happy about the latest changes.

Is the double deck pitch or out of a shoe?

This is great news. I'll be sure to hit the Cromwell on this trip. Since we'll be there midweek hopefully finding a $10 3/2 table won't be an issue. We're actually staying at TI for 2 nights (and 2 nights downtown) because they have $10 3/2 around the clock from recent reports. Hopefully the strip starts becoming more playable again.
