I was thinking about making a trip in September or early October and staying downtown. I'm an ultra-low roller so I was wondering if there are still any $5 blackjack tables to be found? They used to be everywhere. 4Qs, El Co, (even Binions had a $3 table). If not I may have to stick with my virtual blackjack.

I read in at least one thread on the VMB board that $5 downtown is going extinct. All the trip reports I'm seeing says $10 mins is as low as they've seen now. This is not fact but just observation from what I've read.

I'm pretty sure it was at Binions and they had $5 BJ when we were there in July.

November 4 night turned into 6 night!
    End of year trip!

Sorry, no $5 3/2 blackjack downtown. I’m thinking it’s probably gone for good....

same for craps, $10 is the new downtown $5,
hopefully somewhere will drop it right back down if we ever get full tables back..
The different pace can hurt, but can also help if you hit a rhythm.

In June when I was there, I'm thinking that there was one 3:2 $5 table, open only sporadically - that was a CSM game at DTG.
Of course, I could be confusing that from my December trip.
Fremont had a $5 2-deck pitch game at $5... but I discovered (when I got my first blackjack) that it was a 6:5 table! :bang::grrr:
