Movie was good, but I guess sitting in the theater seat for 2 hours hurt my father's hip. He was livid at having to walk across the casino to Oyster Bar after that, like legit cursing. I should have gotten him the wheelchair :(

Luckily my friend brought some Tylenol to give him. Then we had the awkward introduction of my friend and my dad, then ate at Oyster Bar. It was delicious.

After OB we played a Monty Python slot machine and lost $20 each.

We then headed to Sunset Station to play some cheaper blackjack. Found a $10 3:2 DD game. Rough start, lost 6 hands in a row. Finally turned around a little bit, I ended up going all in and having to double. Won the hand at least.

Ended up down $35 from Sunset, but my dad ended up down $90 and busted out.

Back at Mandalay Bay now. It's crowded as fuckkkk. There's some event going on at the stadium, which is adding to the crowds. Every time we've drove in, it said there were 800 to 1000 open spots in the garage. This time there were only 150!

Gonna grab ice cream and head to the room and go to bed. Gonna try and get chocolate chip pancakes tomorrow for breakfast.

I have asked at casino bell desk and gotten a wheelchair to use while in the casino. May need to leave a driver license until return wheel chair. Haven’t asked in years.

Good to know. Might have to try that...if his pride will allow it. I think he's upset at both the pain and lack of mobility. He also hasn't told my mother, so that'll be a surprise for her on Monday, seeing him come home in crutches!

Tomorrow he wants to go to in n out. So I think we'll drive to one (way off the strip). I know he really wants to play cheap blackjack, so I think we'll check out the venerable Poker Palace. The epitome of class, with a single $5 table. I think. It's near an in n out at least.

In line for breakfast at Citizens. Odd thing is that MB still doesn't have all their restaurants open, on 4th of July weekend, and they're doing construction in their restaurant area. You'd think they'd have it all open for the holiday weekend?

Anyway took a look at my coin in/coin out for the trip. $3987 in, $3197 out. That's a 20% hold so far. Yikes.

I ate Citizen pancakes and Pyramid pancakes on consecutive days last trip, and the Citizen version were significantly better! Also a little cheaper. Go figure.

I do enjoy the pancake pyramid. I wish they had the s'mores ones still.

Tomorrow I think I'll probably walk to NYNY to get pancakes at America, or maybe deep dish pancakes at primrose.

    Choccychippy PannyCakey!

    Very moist. Very good.

Unfortunately I had a Vegas moment, and wet my pants. The glass of water spilled on me! What happens in Vegas.....ends up on VMB.

Oh and I cashed in a $14 hockey ticket from last trip, and have been rolling all of it on the Brewers for 2 games now. If they win tonight I can add $90 to my bankroll...or put it all on something else.

I probably saw you in line. I went over there like 30 min ago but the line was too long.

Agreed on you with the construction. They had all last year to do this shit and now they want to close half the walk ways. wtf

Down $120 at ElCo. We went to Poker Palace, and they had a single table open. $3 to $50, and you can double on your third card. (IE: 6,2 hit get a 3, then double!) And it paid 3/2.

I won $5 after like 2 hours of playing, dad lost $30.

Now we're at in n out, then back to MB.

Agreed. I was hoping for $5. The table was empty the whole time we were there.

One table at MB was reserved...I wish I could watch that High Roller play!

Yesterday they closed the way to Allegiant stadium for the Illenium concert. Some EDM guy. I saw young people in bikinis. Maybe there's a pool over there?

Olympic Basketball camp at MB is starting now. You might be seeing some tall people around.

At Park MGM now. It is CROWDED and LOUD. There's some concert going on I guess, so it's packed as fuckkkkkkk. Could barely find a spot to sit and play. We did play for a bit though.

    At Bavettes now.

Great dinner at Bavette's. I got the bone in filet, with a peppercorn crust. Dad got the steak fries.

The fries were sorta bland, definitely skip those and get a different side.

For dessert we got the chocolate cake, which is a pudding cake with Bolivian chocolate.

Also featured is my Shirley Temple.

Total bill with tip was only $220 for both of us. A good retirement meal.

Standing on the bridge between Park MGM and the Hard Rock Cafe, to get a spot facing north for the fireworks.

Very crowded, but not sure if anything else is gonna be better!

    See y'all after the explosions.
