We will be staying one night at 4 Queens before heading to the Mirage. We will be leaving the 4Q early so that we can head to the Mirage pool (approx 8 AM). There will be 2 couples. Do you suggest splitting a cab fee or would we be able to take the bus? What might a cab fee be for this route? A reservation I have about taking the bus is that we will have our bags. Thanks in advance for the advice?

I think in this case the cab would be cheaper, as I believe the Deuce/SDX routes are 7 bucks a day per person. I don't think they sell the single ride passes any more. Unless you get massively long-hauled the cab fare plus a nice tip would pretty much equal the bus fares, and no worries about the luggage that way. Since the 4 Queens taxi pickup is only 2 blocks down Carson from Las Vegas Blvd, it should be a straight shot right down to the Mirage with normal traffic that time of the morning.

Yes, a cab is the best bet.

The SDX does not start running until 9 a.m. The Deuce is very slow, and the bags will be a problem.

I have driven from the Four Queens, where I stayed, to early morning meetings on the strip. The
traffic is light in the early morning. I am guessing that the fare would be about $25, plus tip.
    Might be less.

Cabs do not line up and wait beside the Four Queens. But I have caught them on the corner of
Fremont & Casino Center Boulevard. They wait next to Binions.

I have stayed at the Mirage a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Although I am not a pool person,
my "college kids entourage" adored the pool area. My son & buddies had originally decided upon the
Mandalay, but ended up hitting me up for my room keys to access the Mirage pool, which they
    liked a lot more.

I am envious! Let us know how it worked out!
