Airport. Gave it one last go this afternoon on 10 play 25c 9/5 JOB in PHo HL. Couldn't get that dealt royal I sorely needed.

Final tally later (maybe) but considering room comps, I consider myself down about $1k. Real loss closer to $3k. Need to learn my lesson about VP which never happens... need to stick to 25c single line and play more dice.

Next trip end of July. We'll see if I learn then !

Enjoyed the report! Money can go quick at VP playing multi line at higher limits. Better luck in July!

100 play quarters at PHo high limit 9/5 JoB? That's surprising...

I didn't get to check PHo's high limit room though.

Yeah since you can play 1 line, is that the best 25c option across all CET?

Overall thoughts: might take up these emails for $79/nt Bellagio rate in July or Aria. I'm done with any CET loyalty. Maybe I'll get lucky and get s Cosmo mailer.

Sticking to stricter vp rules next trip too. By far the most money I lost was VP.

    Best I've seen anyway...

And VP definitely sucks when you're royalless...or lack of quads/premium quads on boner deluxe/DDB games. I was down a third of a royal and I played a laughable amount of hands during the week. Maybe 2500 hands of max bet quarters at most. If I played your volume, I don't even want to imagine.

I'll admit Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk are class. Wayyyyy more neutral than that Hawks traitor Darren Pang (current Blues color analyst). He's a huge homer, but he is fun to listen to.

    It is SO true!

At the end of every trip I end up saying that, even the winning trips, and for my upcoming trip I've been saying this over and over. That VP variance combined with the horrific decline in already-bad paytables makes it virtually unplayable to me, except for some hit and run grabbing 1-2 drinks to start the night and meet up with people.

Craps usually has great cocktail service and even though it can go very bad I think it has some big advantages over VP:

    #1 It is more social.
#2 It is far easier to make it a slow bleed. If it is going bad you can bet in a manner that makes many rolls a non-decision. VP has hundreds if not thousands of decisions per hour. Each one theoretically costs you money. Limiting decisions per hour is the best way to not lose as much gambling. I find it possible only to bet big on my own crews rolls and kinda go small for an "at table break" while the other people I don't know are rolling (until they hit a Hard 8 lol).
#3 The odds are better if you want to play only the smart bets.

There are no good Strip VP options for bars, but you can find a couple single line decent games on the floor ($0.50 9/6 JOB Treasure Island or Full Pay A&8 @ Circus Circus; $1 9/6 JOB @ TI; 3 Line + at MGM). 9/5 JOB 3 Line is the best CET $1 game on the Strip (PHo & Flamingo). Still excellent $0.25 bar options of 9/6 JOB downtown at Main Street Station (Boar's Head) & The Plaza (Omaha), and plenty of other good games on the floor downtown and throughout the Vegas Valley.

On the Strip, I stick mostly with Blackjack or Live Poker, Downtown and Off Strip I stick with Video or Live Poker.

I agree with you BeeeJay. I'm going to try hard to stick with flat-betting BJ and smart craps bets this trip. My bankroll will be limited and I always end up pressing my bets here and there. I really think we'd all be surprised how long our rolls would last if we stuck to lower variance games and didn't vary our bet sizes. Of course this all goes out the window after cocktail # 10, but hey it's worth a shot!

Nice report! I was downtown 4/27-5/1 but didn't post anything or look at the MB, otherwise I would have looked you up!

    Last update alert!

So July trip is looking like a night again at the D (they treat me so well) and the rest at either PHo (already booked comped) or Cosmo/ an MGM
property depending on what offers arrive. Have a car booked to get chips from my last 2 Vegas area casinos where I need to collect: the Stagecoach in Beatty and the Searchlight Nugget. The latter I've visited but table games were closed. This time I'll find exact open hours in advance.

My last crappy baseball parlay Monday of 5 involved the DBacks winning as dogs vs the Rockies. First rain delay, then postponed. Postponed again Tuesday as a double header Wednesday. Low and behold my bet holds strong! It will be cashed in July!

Two growing VP addicts may be colliding! Will be looking forward to this!
