Any ideas for a BJ party pit that pays 3/2 with limits up to 200 a hand. So far my favorite place is Whisky Down at MGM and Bond Bar would be perfect except it's 6/5. I know PH has some decent tables and rules. I care more about the music (Pop/hip hop or bonus points if its a live band) then the looks of the dealer. Anywhere else that I'm missing?
FWIW, I have never seen a party pit that offers 3:2. Of course, I don't really think of Whiskey Down as a party pit (it does offer 3:2, but not dancers or special uniforms for the dealers). A limit of $200 a hand is every BJ table on the Strip. I have never seen one with a limit less than $200
The D and the Golden Gate downtown both have 3:2 BJ and the entire pit at both places is a party pit. They also have $25 and/or $50 double deck shoes at said party pit. I believe the $10 tables are $2500 max. Never paid attention to the max bet at the $25 table.
UK, sorry after reading that I see I mis-typed it. I mean the min can be 200 a hand. Whisky Down is good because they have a band that plays in there as opposed to just back ground music that is pumped into the casino. If the lift bar was just little bit closer at Aria it would be perfect but you can't really hear their band from the blackjack tables.
Got it. Obviously others have good info for you about DT options and my knowledge is focused on the Strip. If you're wanting to lock up the table with a $200 minimum, just ask. That's an odd minimum, even for a high limit room (usually you see increments of $100, $500, $1000, etc). Every now and then I will see a BJ table in a high limit with a $200 or $300 minimum, but it is not common. Never seen that in a party pit, or even close to that minimum. Still, if you find a table you like in one of those pits, just ask them to raise the min. Worst the boss can do is say no. I usually find the supervisor receptive when I ask to raise the minimum (including, I have raised it to a grand at Whiskey Down), but I have never asked at a party pit. I still think you're not going to find 3:2 in a party pit on the Strip, though. If your definition of a party pit is live music in or near the pit, maybe try Mandalay Bay. They have live music at the Orchid Lounge which is sort of close-ish to the edge of one of the BJ pits (or, at least it is closer to the BJ tables than the Lift bar at Aria). Good luck
You can find 3:2 at Planet Hollywood at $25 and up. IMO the entire table game area feels like a party pit past about 9 or 10pm. I don't recall there ever being any type of live music, but you'll have go-go dancers in a pit(s) within eyeshot and dealers in special outfits throughout the main floor.
Both the D and the GG have a small "high limit pit" and you can request various limits at both places.
Last time I went Caesars' HL room was $200 min outside the morning hours (when they were $100). Of course - number of tables with the low minimums decrease as the day goes on and especially if one guy decides he wants to reserve three tables for himself and come down 2 hours later lol. Also, PH has $25 3:2 tables in the "fish bowl" which is sort of in the party pit - just outside the HL room and the dealers are party pit dealers. They also have DD, but it's sometimes at $50 at night and they don't allow DAS and I think you can only split aces once.
Downtown - you have the Plaza, Golden Gate & 'theD'. Avoid the 'party pits' at Binion's & the Nugget (6:5). The plaza has a 3:2 double-deck shoe, H17 with DAS... $25 min.... it's on the main floor, but is right across the way from their live-music stage...go there at night...band is very good - excellent 'covers' - mostly 70s & 80s pop music...a bit loud, but certainly tolerable. I believe that the max bet at that table is $2500, but I could be wrong...it may be $5K.
Another vote for the Golden Gate downtown. The music is an 80s-90s mix and can be quite loud. Because it is a small casino, drink service is outstanding. If you are in the high limit "alcove" you won't wait for anything... Betting black chips, I have never been told "no" for a drink, including Johnny Walker Blue, and some really decent red wines. I usually start with black chips and work my way up from there. My dad sweats quarter action. Pit bosses at the Gate have come to me and said they'd make the table min whatever I wanted, and my dad could keep his 5-10/hand bets, if we wanted a table to ourselves. I prefer a fuller table so we haven't asked for the adjustments. Never a problem getting two of their "suites" comped for 2-3 hours/day of black chip action (meaning one black chip player can get two "suites" comped). Their restaurant closed, so have to walk to the D for any food credits/comps, but great value downtown if you like that scene. Haven't played at the D, but imagine their setup is similar, since they are both owned by the same folks. Hope this helps!
I've played in this "pit" before, in fact minimums on one particular night were only $15 (this may have been a Thursday?). It was a nice setup w/ the gals dancing and non-6/5 tables.
Golden Nugget in the Rush Lounge. There are 3 tables. One is garbage 6:5, the second is a $15 minimum 3:2 6 or 8 deck shoe and the third is $25 pitch DD 3:2, H17, NSA, DAS, no surrender. They have bands in the evening. I love Rock This Town that starts at 930 PM Wednesday through Saturday.
