Quick 24 hour visit from Ohio to Windsor. Drove up on Saturday, the 25th, late afternoon. Work has been extremely stressful lately and my husband said let's go for the night and try to take my mind off of it.
He picked the right day. Comped room and give away of freeplay. I ended up getting a $60 freeplay voucher+ another $30 and husband got a $30 voucher + another $15.
While mixing up my freeplay with $10 per video poker and 'testing' out machines, I was dealt four aces and picked up the kicker on the draw. Now that's a great way to test machines. Needless to say, I never had to convert any money and played on that the rest of the night/Sunday. Racked up a ton of tier credits and played whatever I wanted for the rest of the time we were there.
Here was the highlight of the trip. Husband was playing triple play video poker and was dealt four to the royal that was open on both ends. Bottom line filled in the ace for the Royal and the top line filled in the 9 for the straight flush. What are the odds of that? Wish I would have had my phone to take that pic.
Had Breakfast on a $50 food voucher at the Artist's Cafe. Steak and Eggs were excellent. Would like to know why the Starbucks isn't in there anymore. Sure missed that.
Then we both had vouchers for a Diamond Renewal gift of bakeware so we picked up to sets of a 7 pc ceramic bakeware. This was a nice surprise that I didn't realize when I booked the hotel, however, I'll keep one and give a set away to someone who wants it.
Great 24 hour diversion. First visit this year to a Caesar's casino. Racked up some points to use in Vegas in May. Brought some cash home to use for our trip out West in March to Spring Training and husband's golf trip to Myrtle also. Can't beat that. Usually do a few overnighter trips to Windsor during the year but this one was a pretty darn good one. Surely can't complain. FYI anyone traveling South, I-75 is detoured for about a 30 min delay on the trip coming back down south towards Toledo.
