Great writing and a great story !!
I keep reading my own TR! opcorn
For those of you that haven't written one before, you really need to. It allows you relive the trip, highs and lows. Each time I reread it I remember details that I forgot the previous time. That being said, there was a lot of "tracking" work behind the scenes during this TR. I used the notepad feature on my cell phone to keep short notes about what we were doing throughout the day. At the end of the night, I'd pull out the phone and then use my short notes there as an outline to recap the day in more detail on my laptop. Simple notes like "VBJ 2 hrs, break even. fontana bar cranberry 2 hrs" were great reminders. My mom made a couple of comments that it seemed like I always had my phone out.
A random memory came to me that I didn't include. One of the nights I took a break from the BJ table and entered the Bellagio bathrooms at sometime around 4-5am and two men were laughing in there alone.
"Is the hooker gone?" one of them asks me.
"What?" I reply, confused.
"There's a hooker following us and bugging my friend. She's been waiting outside the bathrooms for us."
I go back outside and take a quick look. Nobody's there.
"Coast is clear," I let them know. They think I'm trying to trick them so they cautiously exit the bathroom. From inside, I hear them celebrating outside as they're free from the hooker's grasp.
Random Vegas happenings. Gotta love it.
Good job SS.......next time you head to Vegas, remember blackjack is a "hit and run" type of game.
The longer you stay at the table, the more likely it is that you will give back your hard earned money!
Great report and very nice that you went with Mom.
Great Trip Report!!! Loved reading it!! Wish my mom was a gambler, definitely sounds like you had a great time!
Great report! Well written and coherent!
Great report, enjoyed the detail and writing style, congrats on going home with a win.
Loved the report , glad you and your mom both had a great time
nice that you live so close to Vegas , too
Absolutely fantastic writing!!!!!
You are so talented....no spelling errors either .
Sir, I am in awe!!!!
I had the best time reading it; glad you enjoyed yourselves.
My son asked me a couple months ago if I will take him to Vegas when he is 30 (he is 6 now). I can only hope I have a trip like this with him when he is 22!
In 15 years you'll write a parent/child trip report and have as much fun as I did. I can't wait!
Wow! Great report! I loved reading every minute of it!
I'm heading to Vegas this Saturday, and it just made me that much more excited!
In regards to the bad plays at the BJ table, it's something that is very common now at the lower denom tables...even the $25 tables I was playing at Aria had people standing on 12's and 13's against dealer 10's. Unfortunately it's something that won't improve and if you want to get away from that then you are going to either have to play video black jack machines or move to the higher limit tables $75 +. Those players will be the ones that are more cautious with their play and aren't afraid to hit a 16 vs a dealer 10.
Great, entertaining read - even though it was on the lower side of rolling, it was exciting to read the ups and downs and the positive ending =)
WOW! What a rollercoaster ride of a trip! Love all the details!
Very well done TR. On my first trip years ago I was on a very limited BR so reading this brought back some great memories of that trip.
Do you always go by plane? I am also from Southern California and am wondering how the plane trip is? I've always wanted to go to vegas by plane instead of driving.
Oh and great TR. I enjoyed it.
A very entertaining report. Thanks!
Excellent trip report! Thanks for a great read.
I have to really admire your persistence in trying to get your rooom charges taken off your bill. I've never put in too much effort beyond talking with pit bosses for free meals. I'll have to start pushing it a little bit.
Thanks for posting!
I must agree, that is an excellent report!
some reports get a bit hard to finish reading but yours was fun to read all the way.
Felt like I was there with you... thanks for the entertaining report
