    I'm finding this very difficult.

I'll say Plaza because of the host service, food choices and pool complex.

The D for slot selection and I have an affinity for the D Grill's breakfast.

Four Queens for overall good value and VP paytables. Oh and a huge shout out for no resort fee!

Sorry. I couldn't come up with just one, but I guess I will have to when voting comes out! :p

    No Golden Gate?
love it for the casino, buttt..
I kind of have to agree for base rooms and no food.

I need to check out a D room soon. I guess all the votes mean the rooms aren't loud.

I'll go for Cal, rooms, bridge to MSS doubles your casino options.

The California. Great Hawaiian folks, like the food options (Market Street Cafe, Redwood, Lappert's), remodeled rooms.

The Western is gone, but not forgotten.

Despite its distance from the FSE, the El-Co.
They have the best blackjack conditions, a classic "feel" to the place, iced-down tubs of beer right there in each pit, fairly-easy comped room offers, low-minimums for craps (and every other table-game), UTH table :) , and no FSE stage or slot-zilla next door.

For just room quality & food, I'd have to go with the Nugget, but with their gambling conditions so atrocious, I cannot give them the win.

I would use casino/hotel rather than resort in the title for this one. The Four Queens has been known to state that they do not charge a resort fee "because we are not a resort". You probably don't want people omiting a favorite, being Four Queens or others, because they don't consider their favorite place a "resort".

Lastly, since you are saying 5-10 will make it, and given that there are only what, 11 Downtown casino hotels, why not just automatically have all of them up for vote?

Discussed that a bit in the original thread, but even “hotel/casino” is too restrictive for those with spas, doesn’t account for pools, etc. resort seemed the most all inclusive.

And since there are 20 categories I’m trying to be consistent. All of the DT hotels would have fit into one poll, but all the restaurants wouldn’t have. So using the nomination process to keep the methodology as consistent as I can.

The thing said resort, and I've never eaten nor stayed there nor been particularly tempted. The GG to me is all about the BJ party pit. Wasn't quite enough for a nomination.

Nominating any place downtown as a resort was a challenge for me. While its casino has its ups and downs I went with DTG as better value and gaming than GG, one of 3 places with a workable pool, decent rooms, and counting triple george and pizza rock among its dining options. Also considered Cal and MSS. Not a big fan of the D.
