We are running a little behind this year, but our garden is in! Even though hubby says we are going to plant less this year, the garden seems to grow every year!

Spring lasts into July here. We still have highs in the 60's most days this month. So I planted lettuce, which always used to bolt in Ohio, and I'm cutting salads from it every other day. When in Washington, do as the 'Tonians do.

I made zucchini nut bread!!! Two loaves. Sadly I tried to get one out of the pan and it split apart. The other I waited like I should have and let it cool. Sliced it up and taking it for the Father’s Day BBQ tomorrow. The other loaf is good enough for the hubs and I.

There are also a few sunflowers and Giant Zinnias that haven’t blossomed yet.

I have been monitoring this thread and I really like all the pics and comments so far. I'm not much of a gardener but now that I'm retired and with this virus thing I have a renewed interest in gardening, especially flowers which I have no experience in doing.

I'll be sharing my efforts soon! And please, continue posting your pictures I like it very much!!

This is what I’ve accomplished so far. There are carrots, radishes, Zinnias and Cosmos in the back and a lonely Bok Choy. I ate the other one last night, lol!! 4635192E-2C77-4CB7-8C42-4C338E411D67.jpeg

Fig trees are loaded this year - hopefully we can keep the raccoons from wiping out the whole crop...

I finally have 1 squash growing! The zucchini isn’t cooperating - but it’s not the plant’s fault. I needed some bees to pollinate the flowers. Solution: Little paint brush in hand, I became the bee. I’m pretty sure that’s how I got the squash. I’ll just keep at it and hopefully I’ll eventually have a zucchini.

And about half a dozen teeny tiny cucumbers! Here are 2...

This may sound stupid, but I had no idea potatoes had blooms [emoji23]

And with all the rain we’ve had lately, dog vomit mold...

Do pond flowers count? Our lovely hibiscus has been putting out 4-5 new blooms per day

Flamingos keeping watch in the memory garden. The two feral cats like to hide among the hostas and poke their heads up like the great pumpkin rising.

Lots of things going on in the veggie garden. Picked some cukes for making Babci's Polish Dill No Cook Pickles

I blanched & froze ~6lbs of beans this weekend! Very few tomatoes ripe (have eaten 2, tossed a few more with blossom end rot - was late getting tomatoes started this year so late to eat, sadly :-(

Going to pull the peas this afternoon - too hot for them - and I pulled the lettuces a week and a half ago. I was ok eating them when they were getting bitter and more tough, but when they start getting little spikes on the stem? I'm done eating ;-)

My basil is going well too - I have purple, genovese, and globe. I only have 1 squash plant growing, and a couple lemon cucumbers that hopefully will produce this week!!

Yeah, what happened to the rain last night? And now it's getting to be the triple HHH.
I found a couple cukes just the right size to add to my sandwich. Or just make a cuke and tomato sandwich with mayo.
