Excuse my ignorance, but what does it mean to "scratch off" when you're playing the VP machines? I don't play them much but want to practice before I hit a casino again.

I believe that in that casino, when you win on VP the bartender gives you a scratch off lottery-type ticket as a bonus with possible prizes from $2 to $50k...

Please correct me if wrong. Think its unique to this bar.

Enjoyed reading your trip report. Great write-up. Thanks for taking time to write and post. I was rooting for the Aggies since my 'Horns weren't bowling this year. I always root for the farmers with the exception of their contests against UT.

    Totally loved this report!
    You write so well!

Did the Westcliff bus give you a hard time about bringing luggage on?

Did you record notes as you went or do this all from memory afterwards?

---> I assure you I was in no shape to write notes for much of this trip. I only get to Vegas a couple of times a year, so I cherish every moment. I sat down with my laptop the Sunday I returned and wrote it all. I came back Monday and did a final edit, then posted.

---> At the Main Street Station if you get a "natural" 4 of a kind (no wild card) or better, with full coin in, and your slot card in the machine; a slot host/hostess will confirm and give you a scratch-off card. The card will pay from 2 dollars to 5000 dollars. I have won many, many of these over the years and always win 2 dollars each and every time. I have seen a 3 dollar card once. So it is a running joke among VP payers there about mysterious unseen high dollar cards.

No hassle whatsoever either way, in fact the drivers were more than happy and encouraging people to use this service. It is a standard bus, like the old 108/109 routes.

Love your web site too by the way!
