    We so agree!
Made the reservation in early June. Saw it for $150 in May - wished I had booked it then.
I’ll plan better next year. [emoji4]

Day Four/Wednesday 7/18/18 (writing this on Saturday 7/21/18, home after the trip)

Las Vegas was our Oyster! It was amazing to wake up only with the decision of what to do that day. No plans, only the best of Las Vegas in front of us.
When we checked into the Encore, we were given offered a free buffet at The Wynn. So we decided after a slow wake up, to go down and check it out.
Buffets are not usually our thing as eating so much food at one time, isn't our style.
The last thing either one of us want to do is eat a heavy meal which would cause us to need a nap/end early for the night.
Not to sound undeserving, we did enjoy the buffet, but ate far less than anyone likely did around us.
Next we decided to head for the Encore pool - a 21 year and older pool, which was a lovely surprise.
Things we enjoyed: $15 Blackjack and the area of the pool covered by shade (the sun hates B)
We had wanted to visit the Wynn pool to partake the Blackjack there, but were notified when we stopped by earlier, that Wynn gaming was only Thursday - Sunday. Good to know for future summer trips.
Met a lovely couple from England and had fun people watching/guessing where people were from. We did enjoy the Blackjack table for one short session - short as we came away down. Decided to stop there.
Next we changed and decided that Fish and Chips were deserved. Lyfted to CP to enjoy a late lunch at GR Pub and Grill. Delicious as always but so heavy!
Then decided to head to the Fortuna Poll (as we didn't get enough the day before!) to gamble poolside, or rather in the pool.
Didn't do as well as the day before but still enjoyed our time immensely. Most of the staff at the Fortuna pool that we enjoyed interacting with on Tuesday were off on Wednesday, which was kind of a bummer but we made new friends.

As we are always drawn to the Cosmopolitan, we decided to head there for some VP at the Chandelier Bar. As the Microsoft tech crowd appeared to still be in town, finding a spot at the Chandelier Bar was elusive. So we headed over to the Cosmo Sportsbook, one of our favorite places in Las Vegas. Cori made us each an amazing Sidecar to start our VP session.
After a few delicious Sidecars, we moved over the the Fortune Cup - silly horse-racing fun that is within the SB footprint, which we came away up. W went upstairs to get us a snack of Pork Buns from Momufuku (beyond amazing - I'm a big David Chang fan - if you are reading this you should listen to his podcast! ) and a Cereal Shake from Milk Bar (ditto). Fortune Cup is fun - you can make a min bet of $2.00 (four bets) and watch the little plastic horses race around the course. Good fun.
After more fun at the Fortune Cup, it was time for Paella from Jaleo. I swear we cannot get out of the Cosmo without visiting that amazing restaurant. I believe we have tried all of the different paellas with the exception of the Gambas (shrimp) which we must make sure to wait for next time we are in Las Vegas.
The night wasn't over! One more pass by Chandelier Bar (1st floor) and we scored. And yes did we score - see below. W won big. What a rush.
A cab ride back to the Encore didn't mean we were done for the night - we headed to the craps tables. We found a table and after a little bit, I became the lucky shooter - what fun! I usually crap out after three/four throws but tonight I was golden - making lots of people happy at the table, including us.
We love making others happy. :)

It was the end of our last full day in Vegas and we couldn't have been happier. IMG_2278.jpg IMG_9170.JPG IMG_2277.jpg

    Day five/Thursday, July 19, 2018. (writing on Saturday, July 21, 2018)
Do we really have to go home?

After a slow wake up, we ordered a simple room service breakfast of coffee/tea and a pastry for each of us and enjoyed it while reminiscing about what we'd done in Vegas and talked about our view (where we had been/the new lagoon going in on the Wynn property, etc).
Having a relaxed, slow goodbye to Vegas is the best.
    AND
The best part of leaving is knowing that we will be back in 89 days!

Thank you for all who read our first attempt at a Las Vegas trip report. We love this city and enjoy the TR of others and wanted to give something back. :)
    See you in October,
    B & W

Great trip report! How was your experience getting into the Caesars Fortuna Pool the second time, when you weren't staying at a CET property and didn't have a cabana?

Jaygee77, we just walk in. We make sure to look good and smile. I think a confident walk helps too. [emoji4]. Glad you enjoyed the report.
