Pizza at Giordano's
No way I could do a TR like some on VMB can. Just wouldn't work for me while in Vegas! But I have a few things to share while I sit here staring out my hotel window.
Staying in a comp'd room at PH thanks to the friends we travel with. Awesome view of Bellagio and Ceasars and the mountains behind. Pics above.
We left OKC at 7 am Friday direct to LAS. Love landing and having the entire day in front of you...but it makes for a long one. We were up 21 straight hours day 1. Went to bed At 11 Vegas time. Seems early but we were beat. Started the day at Peppermill. Awesome breakfast! We walked there from PH...put us on our way to 30K steps for Friday! Stopped of at casino royale for our traditional $1 mich light. Basically did a casino crawl until we got back to PH. Had to stop at Gustavs in Paris...best bar tenders on the strip if your a VP player IMO.
Had dinner at Virgils BBQ . Being from Oklahoma I didn't expect much from a Vegas BBQ spot that's part of a NYC food group (Carmines is part of their restaurant group) but it was quite good. Tasty BBQ wings and some solid ribs. I'd recommend it.
Had a rough day...actually trip at VP. Hoped to rebound but it never happened. Only 7 4OAK's in 3 days. We played everywhere and the machines were just a black hole for our cash.
Day 2 we had Giordano's pizza for lunch. It was fantastic! Thick cheesy pizza but still had a thin crispy crust. Probably the best meal of the trip. Pic above.
Downtown for the evening and dinner at Binions. Surf and turf didn't disappoint. The downtown VP machines were no kinder then the strip machines were!
Last day of the trip and we needed a burger! Lots of burger choices on the strip but I'd never had Shake Shack and wanted to try it.
I thought it was a solid burger and ff. Maybe a bit small but tasty.
Headed back for another mich light at CR and started paying the VP machines again!!
We did another casino crawl towards PH hitting basically every property for a beer and some gambling.
Needed dinner but had no plans. We ended up at Hexx. Had the jambalaya. Spicy but really good. Lots of shrimp and sausage in it.
Back to PH to finish our annual LV trip off. Friends wife finally made the VP machine hurt a bit. 4 aces with a 2 for $2000! Wish it were me but I'm glad someone got back at those damn machines!!
Gotta shower and head to the airport for our 12:30 return flight. Back to the grind and reality tomorrow. This was my first attempt at any kind of TR so apologies for the rambling mess. But I wanted to share some of our experiences and let everyone know we left you some money in Vegas for your next trip!
Until next year!
