Ah, so thats the secret. Only put in $40. I usually put in a $100 and don't win.
Now I know to only insert $40. Can't wait for my next trip. :jester:

It says they only put in $40, but not the amount bet. Wondering if it was max or less. Many won’t hit the JP unless at max, right?

    Annuity or $2.1M lump sum?

Not that I'd be complaining either way. Just curious.

is there a back log of jackpots that are finally cashing or what? seems like there's been a number of huge ones over the past couple of weeks.

What would a hit like that cost the average “joe” in taxes (either win)?

    Monopoly win would owe $754,352

Wheel of Fortune win would owe $1,090,143

    Just in federal alone

We really need to stop taxing lotto and gambling wins like every other country on earth

Every dollar over $518k is taxed at 37% federal
Less on lower amounts of course

I would hate to part with the tax money but I guess it’s still a million and a lot of change...I’d still take it!!!

Both megabucks and wheel of fortune wide area jackpot games generally say right on the machine that they are paid out in equal annual payments for x number of years; I took note last week that the megabucks said 20 equal annual installments.

true. And those smaller million $ jackpots are generally 10 years.
