    Better late than never!
All checked in at The Linq. Tried the 20.00 trick but no dice. I kinda knew it wasn't going to happen because there was a manager buzzing around the clerk. I think he saw me put the twenty in the sandwich while in line because he made a bee line to the clerk as soon as I stepped up to her desk. Tried it anyway.
She gave me my room info and keys and handed the twenty back. She did however give me one of the larger basic rooms I think. It is also right near the elevator and has a pool view. So that's cool.
So far, what I've learned is that The Linq is the place to come if you want to get legless.
As I was getting dropped off by my Uber, there were two security guards holding up a very well dressed, but obviously fall down drunk man, trying to get him in a cab.
Then, when I was grabbing an elevator to my room after checking in, I was followed in by two security guards holding up a not so well dressed, but equally drunk woman, telling her they were taking her up to her room because she was too drunk to be on the casino floor.
    My kinda place!! [emoji38][emoji38]

Of all of the strip casinos, I would say the Linq has one of the strongest security presences. But it's possibly due to their obvious yellow shirts being so noticeable.

    Good luck on your trip!

Well so far I'm not that impressed with the Von's grocery delivery.
I had my delivery set up for between 11 and noon. Finally at 12:30 I call their hotline and after fifteen minutes on hold, a very nice lady answers and tells me that they are having IT issues today and they are running behind. The delivery guy should be leaving the store in 20 minutes and I am the fifth stop of his. She gave me an ETA "one to two hours".
That is all well and good. I get that shit happens. I just wished they would have had the courtesy to call the customers that were waiting around. I lost an hour and now have to wait even longer.
Between the plane delay and this, I better get some good luck on the machines! [emoji1][emoji1]
Oh well, at least I was able shower and run downstairs for a water since I foolishly drank both bottles in the room and forgot to take my meds.
So here I sit in the room waiting on groceries and listening to the jams coming from the pool area outside my window.
Once the stuff gets here I am planning on heading out to the Cosmo and the Bellagio.
    Wish me luck. [emoji12]

Best of luck at the Cosmo - that's my favorite! Bellagio is also very nice.

Well the delivery just arrived and part of it isn't mine.
I'm beginning to wonder if this trip is jinxed.
The guy dropped it at the bell desk instead of calling me. When they brought it up I just let them bring it in, tipped him and then he left.
I honestly got the better of the deal because instead of my cheap ass vodka, pop tarts and Doritos, I now have multiple bottles of champagne, a bottle of merlot, bananas and tomatoes.
I called customer service and they said they would have someone come pick up the wrong items just to bring them down to the bell desk. They said they would have my correct items dropped off tomorrow between 11 and one and that was the soonest they could do it.
I call down to the bell desk after I got off the phone and they said they cannot take anything down there so I have to wait until the driver gets here and then bring the stuff down and they will take it out to the valet where the driver will be.
It is now late afternoon and I have lost most of my first day on this shit.
I am currently on hold with customer service again to see if I can get an eta on the pick up so I can leave the hotel at some point.
This is what I get for being nice and reporting it. I should have just kept the crap and gotten my stuff at the store downstairs.
This is seriously a clusterfuck of major per portions. I wouldn't mind it if I was here for a week, but damn, I fly home on Sunday and I haven't done shit!
Sorry for the rant, I'm just really fed up right now.

Ugh that is awful! I would walk at this point but I'd be a little afraid they might try & charge me for the champagne. Can they even take that stuff back & re-sell it? Anyway, warning to the rest of us. Hope your day clears up!

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

Machines have been making up for the rest of the trip. I can deal with that. :)
