If can't digest it. First line 2 million trips nets over 400 million dollars. If I have that correct isn't that 200$ a trip average? Possibly a misplaced decimal ? Please enlighten.

    Hopefully, finally !!!

$428 per trip? Yeah, that would be some serious long-hauling!

Actually almost all of them seem to avg $200 a fare, something is wrong for sure.

It's definitely the revenues that are off. Half-billion dollar taxi companies? Move every decimal place over by 1 and it makes a lot more sense.

It can't be the trips number that's off. If you take the first company on the list and divide 2 million by 229 medallions, divided by 12 months, divided by 30 days, you get 24ish rides per day which sounds plausible, particularly if you account for units being in the shop, unused medallions, and taxis that aren't shared 24 hours a day.

No surprise. In my admittedly limited Uber/Lyft experiences I've found the drivers nicer, the cars nicer and of course the rates cheaper.

no way any cab company grosses 1/2 Billion dollars in one city in one year. In this list alone those 16 companies generated $5 BILLION in trip revenue? I'm not buying it, or I should become an uber driver because 16.9% of 5 Billlion is an awful lot of money to share.

Took my first Uber ride to my airport a couple weeks ago, about a 3rd what a taxi would cost. Taxi co's may become the next blockbuster video...once they were everywhere, and then they're gone.

I've had more than one Uber driver have car chargers for my use. One Apple, one Android. It didn't matter, the trips were pretty short and I didn't need a charge but it was a nice touch. Some also have nice stereo systems and offer me my choice of music.

I feel off the hook as usually too many ipa's distort my interpretation or reading comprehension level. I think it is like 40 million not 400 mill

This was an area of Vegas I thought was untouchable. It is good to know it can be. Now we need to make sure we can touch the new Vegas greed in the same way. Bring on the Vegas competition.

Maybe, if the cab lobby dies a long-overdue 'death', we'll finally get a monorail spur-line to the airport...as was originally planned!
