My sorry butt wasn't even at a casino. It was a 7 eleven!! Very few bonuses. Highest was $65.

I know pennies have awful payback. But not to get anything back is ridiculous. I called the gaming commission. They sent someone out to check the machine. Preliminary report everything checked out. Of course. Still sounds fishy to me.

Bad luck, but definitely not that unusual. I have played many penny machines and lost $1000+ in 2 hrs. This past weekend I lost 19 straight hands in a row at Crazy 4 poker. The dealer was amazed until I told her that was not even my record (22).

Hopefully your next visit to Buffalo machine goes better :)

Of course machines can take this much from you. I can not imagine what they set the payback at a 7-11 anyways.

I would guess the gaming folks just chuckled. They must hear this all the time.

By the way, I was sitting at a Buffalo machine with the big screens at Gold Strike Tunica last summer, playing $3-$5 a spin - what max was. Was up about $500 and the lady next to me says she has to run to bathroom, watch her machine. Well, the bit__ was gone a long time and lost about $800 saving her freakin seat.

You actually took $1,400 of your gambling budget out at a 7-11? What were you thinking?!
Answer to "Watch my seat" is...."Sorry, I was just leaving." Whether you actually leave or not is always optional but it quickly gets you off the hook.

That's normal, as these are set to about 84% payback.

Just can't believe you did this at a 7-11.

I'm surprised to hear this, as those of us "in the know" understand that 7-11 has the loosest slots. I hope they will treat you right. Last time I lost that kind of money there, they comped me well.

I got Big Gulps discounted to only 99 cents plus tax for a full calendar year and all of the roller grill items I can eat for free, so long as they've been rolling for more than 24 hours. Most people don't realize that the more wrinkles a roller grill hot dog accumulates over those hours that people pass it up, the better it gets. The wrinkles represent surface area that soaks up flavor from even older hot dogs off of uncleaned rollers (hint, don't gamble at 7-11s that clean rollers, they're cheating you out of flavor.) I also got comped my own key to the restroom, sans attached hubcap....those are reserved for high rollers.

Instead of calling the gaming commission, talk to the host, they will treat you right. The hosts there all wear red smocks and usually hang out behind the counter. When you ask for comps, the worst they can do is tell you no.

2vegasNuts- Not unusual. I thought it was alright. Not getting any play. Guy at gaming comission said all machines have to pay back at least 75 percent. Thanks for good luck next time. I did put $900 in one at Golden Nugget Saturday night. It's the 4 games at a time on buffalo deluxe. $10 a spin. Cashed out $1500.

Nostresshere- Gaming seemed to have heard this a lot. But he was like it's our job to check. So the guy that called yesterday said all was ok with machine. I think i would have charged her for the seat. Lol

Smeerin- Yeah i had $1400 on me. The clerk that works at 7 eleven said all that machine does it take. He told his boss they should take it out. The casinos all been taking comps away from me. See othet post host canceled reservation, she doesn't even work there. .

Willslotforcash- 84 percent would have been much better. I wonder what this particular one was set at.

TJC- I got a good laugh out of your post. Well i did get my $1400 hot chocolate

A $1400 hot chocolate doesn't seem unreasonable when you hear what Starbucks gets for a cup of joe.

If the max bet was $2, this would be quite unlikely, but still probably happens like 1 in 10,000 or so. If the max bet was $4, very possible. Buffalo just literally eats your money if things aren't going well (what volatile penny slot doesn't?). But I seem to be one of the few people that haven't experienced any really big win on it (tiny sample size though).

    I would probably not bring 1400 to a 7-11.

5 years ago I called the gaming commission about a very tight Buffalo machine at Suncoast, they checked it and it was paying out under the state minimum. They did a whole investigation, about a month later I got something in the mail from the gaming commission that said The Suncoast received a fine.

awwww...I was very puzzled about 711 store...well I'm from michigan we don't get out much lol...so I take it you are in Vegas? that is crazy spending 1400 at 711 but glad to hear you got some money from golden nuggets.

related story - yes i read about your post a Host whom doesn't even work at hotel canceled your room??? that is absurd as you spending 1400 at 711!!! did you ever resolve it? meaning calling that host and tell her to go hell???

have you tried table games? with slot money? your slot bankroll seems pretty high, not trying to tell you how to gamble but try different method.

If I lost $1400 at a 7-11, I'd take that story to my grave.

You are a good man for sharing that story with us.

Triglomane- Highly unlikely at $2 a spin. Well it happened. Sometimes i bet different to change cycle. Didn't work. I've had some decent wins on buffalo. A few handpays but $1400 without any decent pays is questionable to me

Touche22- you are correct about the$1400. I actually had $1600 on me. Lost the other $200 on another machine

KingBBInLv- Well i think u were smart for calling also. If they received. A fine and paying under the state minimum. I would think u would have some case about getting your money back, if u could prove how much u lost on it.

DrewM72- I'm so dumb to spend that at 7-11.

Well regarding my comps at hotel. I'm building my case against them.Just waiting till end of year for my win loss from this year. Incidentally from 2009-2015 i have a loss of$63,000 plus. Only one jackpot all those years. Every year was a loss. I just don't see how they can treat a customer like this.

Table games, a different story. I just don't enjoy em much.

Woodsie- Thanks for the kind words. It helps:)

The question is...why would you play a negative expectation game...at a GAS STATION?
At least play them at a CASINO where you can get SOME kind of return (i.e.: comps) on your lost money.
The real question is...have you ever split 8 times at Blackjack???
