    My Trip Report

Fourteen nights in Vegas!! When I tell people that we are going for that long they all look at me like I am crazy. Either they don't understand wanting to go at all or they are the type that parties way too hard and can't imagine making it past the three night mark. Well, we like our long trips because we are able to approach the town like semi-locals and that is the right fit for our style.

This report will include a lot of pics and some commentary because pics are easy on tapatalk. In broad strokes... we will be playing a lot of video poker, making extensive coupon runs, playing a few poker tournaments and eating the full spectrum from Coney dogs to Top of the World. Terry Fator is the only show we have booked. We have already seen most of the Cirque shows and just wanted a change so hopefully he will be good.

Most details are tentative but we are staying comped for all nights:

    Golden Nugget x2
    Downtown Grand x1
    The D x8
MSS x3 (Double booked at GN for 2 of these nights)

Free play offers have declined but we are starting with $270 free play and $100 match play on top of the coupons from ACG and LVA. There is more free play once July starts but I don't like to short play a day just to get free play so I might not claim some of that. My goal is to pay for no meals other than Top of the World. Between offers and coupons this might be achievable but this is a long trip so we'll see how that goes as well.

That's about it for now. Flight is late tonight after a full day of work (work is relative, I'm mentally checked out) so this should gain steam starting tomorrow.

Good luck! I did 14 days in March for the pac-12 and MM, it was awesome! None of my friends really understand though, I think just those of us on here get it. I'm looking forward to hitting some great summer promotions this week, will keep an eye out for your trip report.

Flying in from the East Coast, I always try to stay 14 days. When asked where I stay, the answer is always the same, "Wherever I get a free room." This, of course, means hotel jumping...which I don't mind. I always have a car for the 2 weeks so moving isn't especially painful. Unlike you, I like to hop around the valley and will stay a bit Downtown, on the Strip, just off Strip and way off Strip. I rarely pay for a meal, too, and then it's just because I wanted to try a restaurant Westie or LVA recommended.
People don't realize that if you watch your gambling, with free food, free rooms, free airfare (miles)...just paying for car rental and tips, Las Vegas for 2 weeks is a great get-a-way! Enjoy!

First upgrade. Rented a compact and got this with a note that the gas is empty to compensate us for our car not being available.

Then the Golden Nugget put us in a suite. Welcome to Vegas!! Time for bed. Fresh start tomorrow.

Most of my trips have been 6-10 days. I usually attend a trade show so 3 or 4 of the days is centered around that and the other days are divided before and after which give me some flexibility with regards to booking a cheaper flight and the opportunity to turn in my ticket if the flight is overbooked and obtaining credit. I don't think I have ever been bored. At home I am self employed so you end up never off completely so I enjoy the lack of distractions. Another reason I like longer time is that I fly from the east coast so the flight out is tiring from getting packed, getting to the airport etc and the return flight is all about the trip back.

I have only made 21 trips to LV but there will never be an end to the things to see or do. AND where else can you find hotels , meals and transportation at these rates? Even with rising food prices and the pesty resort fees, other places are getting pricier as well. I start looking for my flight tomorrow!

Stopped in at the Rampart to earn 1,500 points to get a lobster dinner at their high end restaurant. This is one of the easiest high end comps out there. Walked with dinner certificates and some of their money.
