    My Trip Report

Flight from Newark, NJ on time and uneventful!
Used Uber for the first time. Super easy, thanks for the info previously.
Linq check in easy and quick. Room is pretty basic but a million times better than it was ( plus it's comped for the four nights, so that makes it a little nicer)
Boy friend starving, so I dragged him to Ellis Island for the 7.99 dinner special. No beer included but only 2.50 for a 20 oz.
Tried what I have been learning from the Wizard of odds & some of you guys about VP. Looks like I have much to learn yet. Bought in with 20. ( nickel machine FP ) played about half hour and only lost 8. bucks.
Jumped over to 5. BJ and lost another 70.

By the time we left EI bf was tired ( usually I come to Vegas solo, this is partially why, lol) so we come back to room and fall asleep.
I get up around 2 and hit the floor. ( he's still sleeping, which is fine, he is the non gambling type anyway)
Finding a 3:2 BJ game has become a little difficult. Finally find a DD, hand pitch 25. game. Just lumping along then "it" happens, super obnoxious drunk girl comes along, after three hands I decide time to go.
Hop next door to Flamingo another 25. 3:2 multi deck shoe game. Bought in with two hundred ( same two from DD) played one shoe head to head doubled my money plus made back what I lost at EI.
    And now is now!

Take Two- 3/22-26 was supposed to be a live TR but than the pool bar -

Ok, so as many of you already read the first 12 hours of the trip where off to an ok start ( with the exception of my lame bf. I will say although a bit lame, he is a great guy. So I feel choosing certain characteristics over others is the way to go, here at least. But that is for a different form! lol).

Back to the important TR stuff anyway:
The quick 12 hour recap: did Uber for the first time, hit Ellis Island got the 7.99 steak dinner, I found VP and I are not in a committed relationship as of yet, I need to learn and practice, a lot. Ended the 12 hours up 200. playing DD BJ at Linq, blah blah blah

    Picking up with Wed morning:
Since we were staying at Linq, which I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised with(basic, yet functional and location is awesome, plus it was comped) we went to Hash House for breakfast. All I can say is food was great, but for the love of anything sacred, what do they do to their coffee:thumbsdown:? After we pulled ourselves together, I used the MyVegas reward for 2 tix to the Secret Garden ( got them when they were 20,000) so that was nice and killed about an hour. In the mean time, my sister and brother called me to say they would be in LV around 2pm, they were driving in together from California.

So BF and I decided to go to Bellagio to look at the conservatory and then bop into the Flamingo to see the flamingos to kill some time. Both were lovely.

Then "it" happens, we got back to Linq and I decided I was going to sit by the pool ( lame bf is going to rest for a little bit in the room, no surprise there, lol). Well, with the pool comes the pool drinks, which leads me to Jagger shots, which leads me to the end of anything sensible for the next 20 to 48 hours and the end of my live TR. By the time my siblings arrived I was already partying like I was 21 and it was 1999 (I was actually 29 then).

As dumb luck would have it, the four of us planned to spend the night DT. It was supposed to be Thursday but had to be changed to Wednesday at the last minute. So I had booked a Jr. Cabana Suite for myself and BF. And the siblings were sharing a room with each other (one is a starving med student and the other is just broke).
This was my first time staying at El Co, or DT at all, the room was really nice overall.

Anyway, we went to the Plaza and played some low-rolling DD BJ. It seemed that Blondie, our dealer, was there a long time ( of course I had no sense of time, at that time, so I can't say for certain) either way she was very pleasant and we were all having a good old time. Other than myself, none of the rest of our little group really gambles. I convinced my BF and my brother to sign up for a players cards and spin the promo wheel, in the end they both won some money off of the free play. So they were both happy. I lost about a 100.

Down FS we go, singing away to Bon Jovi, (which I can't stand) but boy I loved his music that night, lol and yes I was living on a prayer, alright! Then there I am, giving my baby sister a smooch on the cheek when "he" creeps up from behind and photo bombs us ( and no he didn't even want any $) I almost had a hear attack when I turned around. My BF and brother thought it was hilarious, old Pin-Head was motioning for them to be quite and they were.
    Pin head.jpg

We decided we were going to play some corn-hole at the Gold Spike, however, that plan was completely thwarted when they would not let us in, oops:rolleyes2:. My brother, the med student, tries to tell the door guy I have a neurological disorder and that's why I was so "unstable" ( thanks little brother.) I guess they have a lot of "conditions" they see daily at the door, nope no entry for us!:drunk:

So back to El Co we go. Now yes, I do know better than to drink and game but when you have Jagger, Fireball, Vodka, and beer on the brain, well your brain function might just be slightly altered, so I proceeded to loose about 1600 :nono:( my total BR was 2200.). The great news was I got to meet a VMB member, jasonargo, and his LF. They were awesome! Finally around 6 a.m., long after the rest of my little group had gone to bed, I made it to my room. Being stuck on east coast time I was up by 9. Unfortunately, all our great DT day time plans for Thursday were shot, so we quietly departed DT and headed back to the strip.

Before going to LV I got a few group-ons, one was dinner for 4 at Spice Market w/ unlimited beer /wine and another was tickets for the Zombie Burlesque show at V-theater. After getting a little rest, we decided to do the Spice Market for dinner then go to the show. Eating was not high on my list and the unlimited beer/wine was really uninviting at that time. Anyway, we get to the V-theater only to find out they had no tickets available for Thursday nights show. So with that we head back over to Linq where I was "bullied" into Fireball shots. Next thing you know we are at Ellis Island, taking in some local color. Some of the karaoke singers were awesome others well, good for them that they can get up there and let it all out. Anyway, gaming was uneventful, nothing gained nothing lost.

I think it was about 1:30am when we all finally said good night. I feel asleep and woke around 330 am and went to play some BJ. Again, bought in with 200. played for about 2 hours and left with 400. Still down but not broke.

Friday morning my siblings headed back to Cali and my BF and I decided to just sit by the pool for a while. We both swore off anymore alcohol for the next two days. After a while we went to Harrah's and I played at the 25. DD hand pitch game. I actually bought in with 200. and left the table with 1200.

Thanks to another group on, I had two passes to Minus 5 at Monte Carlo so we walked there to check it out. It is unique but again thanks to the previous 48 hours I was abstaining:poke:We made our way to PH and grabbed a bite then went to the Zombie show. That was some show! It was actually pretty funny and the actors were really entertaining. Unfortunately, the cast did not know we had sworn off any more alcohol (and who am I to deny one little free Jello-shot?) So I had to take it, just to be a good sport. After, we just walked around and popped in and out of things on the strip and went to bed rather early. Again, I was up around 3:30 am so I went down to play a little DD till about 7 am. It was basically a repeat, I bought in w/500. cashed out with 800.

Saturday was a day of rest pool side and the flight back to NJ at 11 pm. Had a group-on for the Erotica Museum, so we went, I can scratch that off my list, it was dull. Considering all the potential, I was under impressed and rather bored. But it was something to do, once. Finally made it to the Sigma Derby at MGM but just had to watch, couldn't get a seat, maybe next time. Went back to Harrah's and played DD for a bit again cashing out with a little more than my by in.

In the end, I came home about 800 ahead of what I went with. Considering my bad decisions early on, I am thrilled! Anytime I leave a casino with "their money" it's a good thing!

I'm sure I am missing a few things here and there, but overall, this is the gist of the trip. So now I will have to start planning for the next trip!
    :peace:

Thanks for all the input from so many of you guys! Uber was great and I will be using it again! The room info for El Co was great and of course the VP info early on was excellent too! You guys are awesome!

Lol, in my "real world" I work midnights so my sleep patterns are off a bit. Plus being in LV gives me such an adrenaline rush and the 3 hour time difference screws with me as well, so collectively they all work together and keep me going!

I'm the same way in Vegas....even when I try to sleep, I can never get in more than 2 or 3 hours and I'm wide awake.

Thanks for coming back to finish up your report and congrats on coming home a winner! It woudn't be Vegas without one or two or those heavily over-served nights. Glad you were able to get the money back you tossed in your stupor lol. It can go either way; sometimes those no inhibition drunken nights are very profitable.

I had a great time meeting and playing with you. Somehow you must have rubbed off on me a bit, because I ended up pretty hammered myself as well! So glad you enjoyed yourself downtown, it's where I prefer to stay and play. By downtown standards you are a High Roller, and should get some offers if you got rated.
