I've only ever gone to LV in July or August. Most of the people I go with have complained about the heat - so much so they want to go in spring or fall next time. I actually don't mind it - I don't live there, and living in wNY, it's a bit of a novelty.

One of my favorite memories going to LV was the experience the first time the airport doors opened up and I felt that kind of heat for the first time in my life. We were all laughing because it was so foreign to us.

I see a forecast of 117 one day next week. Yikes lol. I'll be out there in about 10 days. I've been there in summer before but nothing over 105 or so. Dry heat my ass. It's HOT.

Yep. I think that's Tuesday. That is our pool day. Thank goodness I have a cabana already reserved with AC!

I've been out there when its that hot. They won't let the planes take off because of the heat. Although I think the cutoff temp is around 119. Need denser air!

Las Vegas on Mon, 113, Tues, 114, Wed, 113, Thur-Sat, 112, Sun-Thur, between 110 and 113. Yes, it gets hot in Vegas in the Summer but I'm never outside during the day except walking to another casino so it's not THAT big of a deal.

Exactly. I agree when people say that 100 and dry is better than 90 and humid, but once you get above 110, it's fucking miserable no matter how you slice it.

I would gladly take 100 dry over 90 and humid.

I never experienced 110 before... but there is something about the dry heat. It was 95 or 96 I think Tuesday and it didn't feel all that bad... now 110 is still 110... I don't know what it feels like and don't really want to know

Once it gets above 110 it doesn't really matter much any more. Your body can't really tell the difference. But, if you're going to be on the strip AT ALL, drink at least a bottle of water between casinos. You'll be shocked on how quick you can get dehydrated in that kind of heat, and you won't even notice it until it's too late.

    Yes! Same!

The hottest I've experienced in Vegas was 113. And it yep it was another August trip. That's actually my favorite time to go.

I hate heat and humidity. Vegas in the low 100s is fine.
When it was 114, then it finally affected me.

Yeah those mid-summer flights into Vegas can be quite unnerving.

I think the Death Valley record is like 135 or something.

Yep it gets pretty Toasty out there in the Summer. That's why my favorite time to go is Nov and Dec.
