11 nights for my daughter's delayed 21st Bday trip 6/22-7/3 (hopefully live)

We've been to Vegas countless times as a couple and with various family members. A rite of passage that we all enjoy is taking each kid on a long trip for their 21st birthday. This one was delayed for 10 months due to a combination of covid and college/grad school but the day has finally arrived. My 2nd oldest daughter will be joining us for the final 4 nights of the trip. She just finished her doctorate and needs a break from studying for the PT board exam.

The game plan involves a lot of coupons all over town, some long video poker sessions at our favorite spots, 4 nice dinners, and her first live poker tournament. She has been practicing VP and is already a good live poker player but needs to get past the nerves involved with being in a casino environment. We play as a team and at the end of the trip she gets to keep 1/3 of what we make if there is a profit. Not too shabby with zero personal risk and the first two kids both made money on this deal.

Our flight arrives late tonight with the first hotel being Suncoast. The plan is to land, shower and sleep so not a terribly exciting start. Tomorrow will be a long coupon run starting at rampart and working our way down to Emerald Island and back up to OYO, Ellis Island and Silver Sevens. We'll see if we get all that done in a day. First moving day will be the 24th when we head to the D for our usual environs downtown. Other hotels downtown will be Circa, Golden Nugget and Four Queens.

Planned dinners are Andiamo, Barry's, Hugo's and Top of Binion Steakhouse. We'll mix in lots of diner/coffee shop type meals and see what else looks good wherever we are at the moment. The only other planned evening is the Friends parody show at the Orleans. the kids have always enjoyed Friends and this looks like it will be fun.

In addition to the LVA coupons, my wife and I have a pretty decent amount of free play and plan to maximize the Four Queens summer promo. We'll see about the Binion's promo. I know the math is there but I've never done well and don't really like the vibe of the place.

Sorry for the long preamble and I hope to keep this somewhat interesting. Posting long comments on the phone can be challenging but pics are easy.

Have fun! I loved celebrating with my daughter for her 21st in Vegas (also delayed a year by Covid/College). They could pass for sisters!

 

Transit to the rental car center is terrible. No buses in 15 minutes. Upside is that we are here.

We waited 45 minutes for a Bus in May.....never had to wait more than 15 minutes prior to our last trip. Absolutely insane.

Best place to celebrate a 21st. My first trip to Vegas was for my 21st and have had every milestone birthday there since.
