Last night was pretty crowded here at the Bellagio. We wandered over to Bally's and got our Wayne Newton tickets and our new player cards. I realized I was starving so we grabbed some food from Tequila Taqueria and headed back over to Bellagio. We walked around downstairs for quite a while and just weren't feeling a vibe from any of the games. Not to mention not being able to find any machines together. We ended up heading back up to the room and just having a quiet night in.
Turns out we needed the sleep since we slept in until this afternoon. Who knew? :goofy:
Plans for the evening will be to head over to Miracle Mile shops to meet up with a fellow VMBer and get some drinks and dinner and then some shopping.
After that we have no plans but I'm thinking a little gambling if we can find anything speaking to us. Hopefully an early night because we will have to pack up and head over to Caesar's tomorrow.
Today was a much needed crash day.

Just got back from Miracle Mile and Ocean One Grill where we met up with @Lady Fortuna for drinks and snacks.
I had never been to Ocean One and I have to say I was impressed. Cheap drinks and food but quality.
We had a wonderful time. I had met @Lady Fortuna a year or two ago at a slot pull and she is a wonderful person. It was nice to have a more intimate setting to actually get to have a nice long chat and get to know each other better. She is a sweetie and I hope this becomes a Vegas tradition.

After dinner we did a little shopping and went our separate ways.
On the way back to the room I hit up the Conservatory and took some pictures.
Now it's time to relax some more and pack up our stuff. I might hit the bath again with my book...depends on how much packing I get done.
    Pictures of tonight to follow.

Conservatory looks fabulous! Thanks for the pix. Doesn't sound like I need to visit DTG anytime soon. Walked thru on my last trip and it was super dead in the casino.

Woke up and checked out of the Bellagio. Got an email from Caesar's sounding like the room was ready and to check in online. I did this with the Bellagio and it was flawless. Here, not so much.
We self parked and walked the fifty miles to registration. I attempted to check in from the mobile check in kiosks and it said our room wasn't ready. Okay fine, it asked if I wanted to be emailed when it was(which I thought had already happened) so I said yes and we checked the bags at the bell desk and headed over to the buffet.
It was around noon so they were still doing brunch.
Buffets are usually lost on us. We don't usually eat that much in one sitting and we feel really guilty wasting food. Having said that, it was a really good set up and there wasn't a thing that I tried that I didn't enjoy. I got way too full too fast so I wasn't able to try everything that I wanted, but I put away a good amount of "one or two bites" of each thing that I put on my plates.
    IMG_4907.JPG IMG_4908.JPG IMG_4909.JPG
I only took a couple of pictures of my first plate and then forgot until the little tomato soup bowl with the grilled cheese stick on top.
We were at the buffet for a couple of hours letting everything settle and make sure we didn't want anything else...still no email about the room.
We decided to go to the Diamond Check in which is what we should have done in the first place.
They had a room for us if we didn't mind smoking. We are both ex smokers and the smell doesn't really bother us that much so we said yes.
The room is okay. REEEEKKS of smoke, but there is what you get. It is also a low floor so while we are paying for a "fountain view" we are really only getting to see the tippy tops of the sprays when they go off. Meh. At this point I'm not going to complain. We are already unpacked and looking forward to not having to pack a suitcase for the next four days.
Changing hotels every two days is too much. I don't think we will be doing it again next year.

    Anyhooo, I'll stop whining.
Tonight the plan is to probably take a nap and then venture out in the wee hours of the morning when it is less crowded. The goal is to take pictures of all the lights and hopefully walk down to the Peppermill to chill in their lounge for a bit. It will be determined then if we uber back or walk. :)

Thanks and you too! We are getting ready for a nap right now so we have the stamina to hit the strip in the wee hours. I'll post some pics once we get to Peppermill. You are still welcome to come if you are awake!:beer:

Great pics, and vids!! You mentioned the slot pull a couple of years ago with @Lady Fortuna. I remember you and your hubs from that day at Mirage and Rhumbar. Fun couple of hours.

Looks like you guys are having a great time, keep ‘er up.....

Hope you enjoy Wayne Newton; let us know how his show is.

Why yes, I AM up at two in the morning.
Our plan is to do a walkabout and take pictures while it isn't as crowded outside. The Peppermill is our eventual goal. We mapped it and it about a mile and a half from here. Totally doable, but I'm not looking forward to the cold temps. You would never know that I grew up in Maine!
Thanks Mike! Yes, that was our first MVB meet up and we had a wonderful time. Sorry we are just going to miss you by a few days.
I'll let you know how Wayne-o was for sure.

Okay off to brave the frozen tundra  and get some early morning cocktails to fuel the photography tour.

Well dang! It IS a hassle changing hotels so often....I try and overlap stays whenever I can so I can just move to my new spot first thing in the morning. Doesn't always happen tho.....

19 years ago I shared a sandwich with this man in a very similar spot at Circus Circus after just meeting him.
Good thing he made the cut. [IMG]

Too bad about the Peppermill, but if Circus Circus has sentimental value, them that is a win

That was all the pictures we got. Rob decided it was too cold to walk so we cabbed it to the closed Peppermill and then on to Circus Circus. We played VP at the West Bar for a bit with no real wins, I think we cashed out three dollars up between us and then grabbed some food at the Snack bar next door.
As near as we can tell, this is the same spot that we shared what we called our "White Trash Breakfast" over 19 years ago. They have changed the layout, but we have tracked it out to be the same area. At the time we got a Pastrami sandwich, potato salad and nachos and we sat on the emergency exit stairs to eat it all. We got chased off the stairs after we had eaten most of it and Rob walked me to my room that I was sharing with my mom. Outside that door is where we shared our first kiss.
It's kinda nice to be able to revisit that every so often. I will be sad if they ever close Circus Circus.
Anyhoo, we are back in the room at Caesar's. Rob is downstairs playing a bet for a friend in the high limit slots and I am about to mow down on the food we got from the snack bar at CC.
Tonight it's Nobu and Wayne Newton. I will actually have to put on grown up clothes.
