The adventure begins tomorrow as we embark on our annual trip to Vegas. The bags are in the car already, the dogs are freaked out because they know that once the bags are in the car they know that Mommy and Daddy will be leaving shortly and we are impatient to start our trip. Tomorrow we will have to endure the Longest Day Ever at work and finally at 4:30 PM we will bust out of our chains and hit the road for Vegas. We will be driving since we will be there for a little over a week and while I don't look forward to 9 hours in a car, I love that we get to take as much crap as we want and not have to worry about checking bags. Also, I hate flying. Our plans for this trip are as follows(in no particular order): Silver Bowl RC Track (hubs is a big RC car fan) Dunkin Donuts coffee downtown Container Park Peppermill (a first for us) Pinball Museum (a first for us) High Tea at Bellagio (a first for us) Miracle Mile Shops CP Buffet (a first for us) NOBU (a first for us) Wayne Newton (a first for us) Las Vegas Sign (a first for us) Mon Ami Gabi Twilight Zone Mini Golf (a first for us) Mob Museum (a first for us) Ocean One (a first for us) There is probably more than that, but that is all I can think of off the top of my head right now. As you can see we have tried to find as many new things as possible. It's hard to believe that with as many times as we have been to Vegas that we haven't done a lot of those before, but for the longest time it was all about drinking and playing downtown on three day weekends when we lived in Phoenix. Now that we can only get there once a year and our bodies don't allow for the nonstop drinking, we are able to find more things to do...you know, outside of our hotel rooms and the casino. Three hotels. --The first two nights at the Downtown Grand - we stayed there for one night last year, but it was honestly only for about 6 hours after the GWAR concert downtown. We didn't even play in the Casino, so we decided to give it another shot. --The second two nights at The Bellagio - We have never stayed here before, but always wanted to. MyVegas came through with the two night comp, so we jumped on it. We are both very excited to stay here. --The rest of the nights at Caesar's Palace - We stayed here two years ago and fell in love with it. It's a lot more pricier than what we would like for our meager budget, but we use the Total Rewards Visa card, and thanks to horrible events (there has to be an UP side to my husband having a heart attack right??) that cost us much more than we wanted, we were able to use the reward credits to secure a room here for the rest of the trip. I am planning on keeping the TR as live as possible, but as you know, life gets away with you. I will be adding instagram photos under my IG of cvkelz, feel free to add it if you want to follow along there. Right now I'm just super excited that the time is finally here and 24 hours from now I will be ...well, still on the road to Vegas, but at least out of work! How will I ever sleep?????
