1 week to go... (and Hello to all!)

Hello everyone!

I'm 7 days from departing for Vegas and I can't wait. Although it'll be for a conference Wed and Thurs I'm staying Fri night as well to play!

I work for a major airline so I've been quite a few times but I've just recently come to realize just how much I love this city. I was taken several times as a child with my parents traveling across country to visit relatives. I remember walking past a slot machine; an old one that looked like a miner or something I believe, it was close to the entrance of a casino that had the doors open. My dad was "escorting" me to the arcade and he said "let's get you some quarters". He stuck in a few and pulled the arm (actual arm of the miner) and the quarters started falling out! Filled up a plastic cup.... I was hooked!

I was 18 when I took my 1st "free" flight as an airline employee. Myself and several co-workers did a daytrip from ATL to LAS. (Hey, we were young!). We had to wear suits to non-rev travel back then. We all got 1st class with all the old school wrestlers going to Vegas for a wrasslin' match. It was a hoot! I never got carded once all day. Such a big shot punk kid sporting my cheap suit in Vegas! Well, we missed our damn return flight home playing the slots in the airport and slept there till the next morning....

Anyway, I digress..... I love this board. It's so much fun reading all the reports and searching for information. Maybe I'll be able to contribute a little along the way.
