Trips to Las Vegas
4
I guess I'm the first overnight trip report for the place. So 2 weeks ago I got an email offer of 2 comp weeknights these 2 week. Kind of surprising since I'm a low level Sapphire mlife card. Was going to wait a month before going but figured when else in my life will I get a comp room in a place that's 4 days old. Arrived right after the morning rush traffic. By noon it was getting hard to a parking spot. When you walk into the casino the new casino smell really hits you, maybe because it's smoke-free.
Table games you've probably read, $25 6/5 CSM's on 2 main pits open all day. After 1 pm it's $25 6 deck shoes 3/2 in the Blossom Lounge. $25 3/2 CSMs in front of poker room, and a few $25 shoes by conservatory entrance. Had bad Monday but made most back early this morning. Seemed like a lot of Maryland dealers and players there. Much more than from Horseshoe.
As for the room, checked in at noon and room was ready. 15th floor with Potomac off to left and Beltway and Capitol ahead. First hotel room I've been in that had NHL, NFL, and, MLB networks on its tv. Basic king bed room, maybe a bit smaller than they show in their pic. If you stayed at the Downtown Grand in Vegas the room kind of reminds you of that. No resort fee was charged. Evening rush hour traffic didn't look all that bad yesterday. I left at 6:30 this morning. Had a good time and would definitely recommend staying there.

Are alcoholic beverages comped?

MD Live has more poker tables (52 to 39 at MGM). Supposed to have tourneys eventually but I haven't seen any mentioned yet.

No free alcohol in Maryland. State law.
