1 Day car hire or go Uber?

Hi All

In Vegas from 17th March for 8 nights (wife is at a conference alot of the time). But one of the days, we need to go shopping. So Town Squad, with a trip to Premium Outlets and she also wants to goto Walmart.
Car hire seems to be £40 (from the UK) all in for 1 day - approx $50 plus fuel. We are staying at NYNY so I suppose add the parking fees.
Question is, is it worth it or should I do Uber/Lyft?

Hard to say. Did not see where you are PICKING UP the rental car. If you have to go to airport, then skip it.
As to parking fees - once you are done with shopping, I assume you would take it back to the car rental place?

Not sure how much stuff you are going to buy and would have to carry around while shopping. If not a big load, then Uber is great. If you need to go load up the car vs. carrying it around, then maybe not.

Uber will be about the same price for 3 and maybe 4 trips. Casino-Outlets-Walmart-Casino

Cheers, pickup anywhere near NYNY but think Ballys was on the list of pickup points.
Not buying alot, I will be in a bar no doubt chillin, this is for the missus to get stuff for the kids.
But I do think, once I am done shopping its return car so may only need it for like 8hr.

Avis rental car is located in NYNY. It can't get any easier than that. I would want the trunk to throw stuff in as you shop around town. I would want the convenience of stopping at this outlet mall or the one across the street (could be a 1-2 kilometer walk). I would want the option to stop at a liquor store or to go to an off-Strip restaurant. If you only have one stop to make, Uber is easier but if you have a few things or stops then I would rent the car. Don't forget to drive on the right!

Depending on which rental car company, pickup and drop off could change the answer. If at Ballys... then not a bad walk to get there and back.

Please don't drink and drive. If you wife will be driving then OK. If you plan on doing the driving then either skip the bar or use UBER.
