heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks

$1 WOF ( 3 reels) with a 2 credit max has always been a favourite with us. On our last trip 2 years ago we had a hard time finding any of these machines. Are there any still kicking around? Seemed most WOF were switched to a 5 credit machine

    Thanks in advance everyone!

Those are so rare it's a vintage machine in my opinion...
I think the standard is now 3 coin for $1
Come to think of it, aria might have a bank of 2 coin $1 WoF but it's not the classic style... Sorry for the vague memory - check out the machines by the mLife desk at Aria ...

In my opinion they have mutilated the WOF slot machine game over the years.

Try Casino Royale. I know they had a bunch of the "classic" 3-coin $.25 machines a few years ago because that's what we were hunting for. But again, that was 2 years ago. Nothing stands still in Vegas.

The standard is the $1 ($5 Max for bonus)

Paris still has some of the .25 cent x 3 machines.

Sadly true. Most of the ones I have seen these days are the 5 line 1 credit per variety. I hate having to get all 3 symbols for a spin. And the spin only pays off the same as the 1 line. Seems more often then not those stupid spin spin symbols just block any line hits, since they are on every reel.

Here in the Carson City area it seems all the WOF machines are going to the new 5 line variety with the "Gold Spin" feature. 5 credits to have a shot at the progressive and regular wheel spins. 7 or 10 credits for the gold spin bonuses. All three casinos I semi-regularly visit have switched over to these new machines in the past few months. I can't speak for Vegas casinos as I haven't been there in years, but I'll assume they're making the switch too.

2 casinos had them last time I was there. Hooters and The D. The D was on the 2nd floor wall as you get off the escalator. Hooters was near the middle of casino floor. $1 two coin machines.

One of the machines I've seen at Casino Fandango in Carson City has a bench, the rest are single seaters.

The Cal has a bank of 4 or 5 of them near the exit close to Binions/LVC (previously LVC). They are in between the Monopoly and Mega Bucks machines. Where the Cal Club Snack Bar used to be. $1, 2 credit is max bet. The .25 cent 3 and 5 credit max bets are one level up.

Grid, can you recommend a WoF machine for a low roller like me? I am talking about maybe a max bet of $1.50 (or around there) until I work my way up?

the .25 cent WOF for 5 credit is $1.25, that may satisfy your urge. they are everywhere.
WOF was my game of choice for years, but not so much anymore.

The problem with the 5 line version is that you need to get 3 wheel symbols in a row.

And when you do line up a spin, you are only winning on the quarter level. So, you bet $1.25 and you spin for 400 credits, you won $100.

I like to play a 2 credit $1 version. They are still out there, you just have to hunt them down. Just need one symbol and you are spinning away! And betting $2, and spinning for 400 credits (like above) is a $400 win. That is 4 times the money on just a $0.75 more investment.

And honestly, I think those dollar 2 credit versions hit the wheel more often as well. And historically dollar slots give you a better shot then quarters do.
