It’s definitely better. It had been 10(??) years since I stepped in. Clean, laid out better, looser slots than the Strip and drink service was fantastic. We clocked in 7 drinks in the 2.5 hours we spent there and the pours were strong. I just wished more resorts were closer.

Left the Strat up $30 from when we walked in, but damn...drink service was the best I’ve had anywhere in the last 10 years. I had to turn them down several times because they kept coming by and I wasn’t finished.

Took an Uber to PH with a driver who was hilarious. His name was Geraldo and when he was about two minutes later than his scheduled arrival time, I messaged him “Did you stop off to buy some chairs?”

He drove into the Rideshare area, pulled up and as we got close, he flipped us off and sped away. He circled around and we got in. Fun conversation on the way over and I tipped him 150% of our fare. Love guys like him.

Walked through PH and decided we needed lunch. Along the way through Miracle Mile we saw a guy sitting on Spock’s coffin (Wrath of Khan was the shizz!!) getting a pep talk from the wife.

Stopped in at Cabo Wabo (love both Van Halen (Roth) and Van Hagar)

since the last thing I ate was a slice of pizza from the pizzeria at TI last night at 8pm. Got the dang Quesadilla w/chicken and the complimentary chips/queso/salsa.

We’ll be walking from PH back to TI, making sacrifices at the one armed gods along the way.

    Later, hosen!

Good stuff! I hope I can make a visit back to The Strat next month. The new bar looks definitely promising!

    Sorry for the radio silence...

    Food poisoning.

    Sammy Hagar let me down.

Came back to the hotel about 6ish and packed in preparation for the jaunt later today over to MGM. As I finished that, I noticed my stomach wasn’t feeling that good.

“Weird, I haven’t had any booze for five hours. Maybe I’m hungry? (Ate at 3pm) Nah, can’t be that.”

From 10pm-1am things looked bleak for your hero.

Got some decent rest and feeling a little better now but so far I’m just sipping on water.

Honestly, it probably is food poisoning considering the symptoms, but it could also just be a bug. GT ate pretty much the same food as me minus the quesadilla and black beans. He’s fine.

Plan is to move over to MGM for 11am check in, drink some Gatorade and take it easy inside MGM. Maybe get out to the pool later this evening.

Still no premium hands on VP. Roughly 7 hours of play. I did throw out a Hail Mary on one hand and almost connected...

Immodium AD helps tremendously! Depending on how bad the stomach flip flops are, it is worth its weight in gold. Had it before and it almost made me want to by stock in the company! Hope you get to enjoy the rest of your trip. Having fun following along.

Pulled it together and by noon, I was feeling 90% better. I’m convinced it was food poisoning. Probably the chicken in my dang Quesadilla. This is how I feel now vs earlier this morning:

Rolled into MGM a little before 11 and was in my room at 10:57am. It’s not amazing, but certainly clean and large enough for me. Went down to the mLife desk and got my free play added to my card. I was able to convert $50 of freeplay into $66 real money while playing some slots. I also have $120 in point play for later, plus nearly 90% of my ENTIRE bankroll. Like I said, it’s been a slow bleed and at this point, all that’s been needed was a Band-Aid.

Grabbed a bite to eat and hit then hit the pool with GT. I didn’t want to risk invoking whatever demon laid in my stomach last night, so I mainly just lounged.

Back in the room now and getting a shower before heading down to the comedy club at 8. Afterwards, we are planning on going down to FSE where I’ll try to chase my first premium hand for this trip in VP.

Glad you are on the mend. Nothing worse than a bug on vacation and it seems even worse if your in Vegas. Enjoy the rest of your trip and find that Royal!
