Planned on staying @ MSS over Labor Day w/e.
My online comp offer allowed me to book Sat & Sun (Aug. 30/31), but I also needed Mon Sept 1, and couldn't use the same offer nor Sept one( needs 72 hrs between)
Sooo....I called up MSS reservations, and clerk promptly told me Sat was "locked" for arrivals.
She didn't even ask to see if I was Sapphire and had an offer code.
    Ok, fine.....go elsewhere.

I emailed host @ Gold Coast, who responded back that afternoon, and she gave me all 3 nights comped, yes, arriving on Sat.

I like Gold Coast too, so buh-bye MSS (for now).

The Gold Coast is generous to players.
Last summer I spent about $80 in two hours. They sent me offers for free rooms and food. Nice place.

FYI, no Boyd properties will allow a Saturday check in---just their policy, unless you are a heavy player, and you might be----

    I really like this place!

    Coach...you are wrong!

If you have a mailer, you CAN check on on a Sat.
I did exactly that early last month.

(I am Sapphire, so not too much of a heavy player. I've just maintained it over over 2 years now.)

Sorry for my previous post...didn't mean to sound "mean".

When I go to Bconnected online, it shows my host:

Personally, I like GoldCoast over MSS 100x better...but that's just me.
YES, MSS CAN be more generous (sending 3 nights rather than two)
But I just got ahold of Johnny @ GC (hadn't played there since January) and he hooked me up with fri-sat in october.
Asked for the same at MSS (through a host) and got told to smoke pole (Both places mailers dropped to sun-thur).
I KNOW I've played a TON more at MSS...but honestly, the crap dealers at GC are WAAY better than MSS (My man Louis is hilarious), plus GC has MANY amenities/restaraunts, while MSS has two (either 777 or Buffet, or walk over to Cal)
The only draw for me at MSS is the brewery. (Unless you're Hawaiian, then you have no choice but to be assimilated into MSS/Cal)

Maybe it's an option for the host. If the host wants to put up their pic and contact info on the BConnected site they can. I could see that being either a plus or minus for the host, based on who uses it.

I do use the hosts @ MSS, on occasion.
When I was @ MSS last April, I used the host (Brenda) to book my Halloween trip.

Most of my bookings, I do online.

...and, for someone like me, GC allows DAS on their 2-deck $5 & $10 blackjack. MSS does not.

PS - booked there for the first time for this Fri/Sat, on a comp. Can I correctly assume that the resort fee is waived on comped rooms?

Room was fine... a bit on the "old" side, but I certainly can't complain... after all - so am I!
No resort fee & internet was indeed available in the room.
Only one "complaint" - they absolutely need new pillows!! Flat, lumpy styro-pillows are so 1980s... time for them to replace every last one of them!
Had a blast with the dealers, pit-critters & other players at their blackjack tables!
If any of y'all were there this weekend, then we likely shared a table at some point (if you played the $5 tables or UTH).

Gold Coast doesn't have resort fees by default? I test searched for rooms for the wed./thurs. leg of my trip and got this.

"Total with Tax: $ 71.64 (Does not include a nightly resort fee of $12.99 plus tax)"

tring... I was on a comp & the fee is waived on comped rooms...and, as MG posted, you still get internet even though the resort-fee is waived.

Just got back from 3 nights @ GC.
Yes, no resort fees on comped room.
They did put a fridge in the last night, and tried to charge me $15. Huh?
Got a room right near the elevator, nice for my knees. And this was coming in on a Sat holiday w/e.
    Had a wonderful time.
    Host even emailed me.
Won $525 playing BJ for 2 hours.
Actually did better on penny machines than VP this time.
Had some $300-500 wins, and a $535 win on GoldFish just before I left.
The Cortez Room was simply....great! Best service ever.

Oh, I am one trip away from making Emerald level.
