Any suggestions on where to get a fine dessert? Or some of the best ones you've had?

Looking to treat ourselves to something decadent or different on one night of our trip and was wondering what some of the favs are from users on this board.

    Thanks!

Serendipity on the South East of Caesar's property has an eclectic, interesting and tasty dessert menu.

Sticky Toffee Pudding at Gordon Ramsay Steak. Simply put, it is the best desert I've ever had. I don't care if you don't eat there, but go in the bar and get the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Ben and Jerry's vanilla ice cream.

Our last trip we tried it for the first time. It is the best vanilla ice cream I have eaten.

A funny coincidence is that the very next morning we were watching NBC's Today and they had a guest on that had done a survey to determine which vanilla ice cream is the best in the country.

Yup. Ben and Jerry's came out on top.

I had the large which is three scoops at the Ben and Jerry's at Treasure Island. They are generous with their servings. It was so much ice cream that eating it could have been a Man vs. Food television show challenge. The ice cream was probably 10 inches high. When I put the cup of ice cream on the table the people in line were staring at it in awe.

It is a perfect creaminess and not too sweet. I had it with chocolate and rainbow sprinkles on the side in a cup and was taking the ice cream in my spoon and dipping it in the sprinkles. YUM!

While I was eating it a young girl came up to our table and was staring at me while I ate it like I was some sort of freak. I said to her, "Can you eat this much ice cream?". She shook her head and ran away to her mother.

I finished it with ease. Thank God for my high metabolism.

The pudding shakes at Gordon Ramsey's BurGR are HEAVEN. Layers of pudding, shake and cookie top....you won't be disappointed.

The two most amzaing desserts I had were both at Wolfgang Puck's places:

    1. CUT..an amazing take on strawberry shortcake
    2. Spago...White peach "donuts" essentially they took a whole one of those flat peaches (sans pit of course) and put dough around it and fried it and then served it with some amazing ice cream and a sauce that killed...hot, cold, sweet all in one...unbelievable...

where does he get those pastry chefs?

The banana cream pie at Emeril's in the MGM is really good. I can't go there without ordering it.

I second that. Was underwhelmed with my steak but the sticky toffee pudding was indeed phenomenal.

I also love the alcoholic shakes at Holstein's at Cosmo.

In terms of buffets, I think Aria has the best desserts.

Surprisingly the Red Velvet cake (my wife is crazy about RVC) we bought at Bouchon Bakery at the Venetian was THE worst RVC we've ever had. Dry and tasteless.

Has anyone had the 24-layer cake at the Striphouse? Any good?

Tiramitsu at Casanova at the Venetian.
The tofu custard with sago at Beijing Noodle No.9.
Those little passion fruit cups at the Wynn Buffet.
Those expensive pastries at the Aria. Don't have a specific one since I love them all!

My favorite dessert in Vegas was a lemon tart at Craftsteak a few years ago. Sadly, it was not on the menu last time I ate there.

Sticky toffee at Gordon's pub at Caesars is a bit cheaper than at his steak place at Paris.

YES. It's very good. Nothing delicate about it though. Just a gut sticking solid piece of great cake and the fudge frosting is excellent. We took it back to our room after we had two or three bites of it and had it in the ice chest for a few days while we worked on that beast.
