    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows if Japonais at the Mirage is still open, I did a little research and am getting mixed answers. If anyone has updated information it would be much appreciated. I forgot to look in June the last time and if they are still open I am definitely going there for dinner next week.

    Thank you in advance!

Ate there in June as I too thought it was closing, talked to the bartender and he said it was up in the air as to when they're officially closing.

That one is on my list, I've done Per Se in NYC and have eaten at Bouchon in Yountville many times, I'm kind of a Thomas Keller freak haha.

    Good to know! Thank you!

I ate there in May... one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. I've eaten there many, many times over the years. In fact, more so than any other restaurant in Vegas.

It doesn't get the love that other restaurants get and I'm not sure why that is. If it's a marketing problem or what. The food is definitely not the issue. It's really fantastic.

I'm sure I'll love Morimoto as well though. I just hope they don't remove the lounge. I love sitting in their lounge.

Yeah I've always loved the food there, never had a bad experience. Second on the lounge for sure, that was the best part.

My wife and I were just there July 22 and it was still there and damn good. Ate there two nights in a row. We also heard about the switch to morimoto and we got the dish from someone working there.

They said that basically they're kinda back to square one. Some problem with the developer or something along those lines. So as of now it will be Japonais at least until the end of the 2014 and wouldn't be until sometime mid-2015 when they'd even know when the switch to Morimoto will happen. So still got some time before it's gone but get it while it lasts. That place is delicious!

Yeah, it was kind of tucked away, I like to think like a hidden gem more or less. I'll take your word on Morimoto and give it a shot, the menu looked great.

Thanks! That was a cool website too!

Thats the best news I've heard today! I;m glad so many other people enjoy it.
