    My Trip Report

We usually go to Vegas twice a year. We usually always go around July 4th but this year I applied to work summer school (what was I thinking?) so I knew the trip would have to be at the end of July, in one of the two weeks before work starts again.

Flew out of ONT into Vegas, quick 1 hr flight.
Grabbed a shuttle for the 6 of us, myself, my kiddo, my sisters, brother, and mom.
Comped rooms at Paris for myself and sister, she paid resort fees, I didnt.
My room was an upgrade with a sweet view, but there were some things wrong with the room, and it was a king, not two queen, so we moved down to the 17th floor with my siblings.
During check in my kiddo smashed his finger in the gate a check in and the lady insisted we call security who was annoyed to have to come down.
Off to the LVH to check in. That place has gone down hill. They are now Westgate Resorts, and I am done with them. Internet never worked, elevators broken. and they found the credit card I used to book the room, which I did NOT present at check in or even bring to Vegas with me, and charged it 300 bucks. What reason, I have no idea and neither do they. I found that really odd and they could care less.
Stayed there 2 days, then I moved to MGM fully comped and they were good this time about the debit card charges, and we only had one issue this trip, when the toilet over flowed, which they sent someone up to the room to fix and sent me to the buffet ( oh being forced to eat at their buffet!) LOL.

We ate at Nathans hotdogs once, the pizza place in Paris once, ate at Nosh in Ballys once, ate at Mandalay Bay buffet once ( Myvegas lunch), ate at Monte Carlo ( Myvegas dinner) and ate at MGM ( they comped it).

Spent some decent time gambling, no big wins until the last day (of course before I can spend it all again lol)
Won on Willy Wonka, Wonder 4, and this Monkey Machine (where they swim and the packets trigger the bonus) and it was a 2 cent machine so I bet 20 coins times two per line, times the 2 cent machine, so 80 cents a spin and trigger the bonus right away, then again a few live spins later, where I got the diamonds to pick from and I got the 5000 coin one, so an easy 100 bucks.

We spent time at M&M shop, Coke, Hersheys, just had fun, went to the forum shops, went to the lazy river at MGM.
I made pearl this trip, first time in 2 years, so I am itching to get back in December, and then next March.

I did have one woman ask me why I brought a kid to Vegas. I said because he is my lil sidekick, and it wouldnt be a vacation for me if he wasn't there, I go on vacation to get away from work, not my kiddo. And his dad is a loser so it wouldnt be relaxing for me if he stayed with dad.

I was sick this trip, so popped from Day Quil and a ton of Emergen C and felt a bit better by the next day

    Any questions, just ask!

I liked Mandalay Bay best. It is overlooking the pool, they have donuts, criossants, etc.
and then MGM next.. bigger buffets.

Can you tell me why you didn't pay the resort fee? Was it waived because of your status? Thanks.

Because the Marketing specialist gave me 3 free nights and comped rooms don't have resort fees... or so she said.

Have you been to Harrah's in SD since they added the new tower and redid the pool? Our kids love the Lazy river there...much more than the one at the Palm Springs resort, which I forgot the name of.
