At most buffets the main dishes are fine for me. However the desserts never seem to be good. I can't remember a buffet I ate at where
    I enjoyed the desserts.

When I go to a buffet I always eat 2 slices of cheesecake for dessert but never have had a good cheesecake at a buffet either in Las Vegas or anywhere else.

I had really excellent cheesecake at the Bellagio buffet. It was a dense, New York style cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. The filling had just the right amount of sweetness. For me, the best part was they had some plain cheesecake. I do not like fruit toppings on my cheesecake.

To be honest, none that I've ever sampled stood out. Then again, cheesecake is a such simplistic dessert anyway.

IMHO there's no such thing as bad cheesecake. Bad cake, bad cookies, bad pie, sure. But, no bad cheesecake.

Seems that way. I don't understand why none of these buffets can make a decent one.

Was going to add this last night but the interwebby thing was just too congested:

As in all ways we've experienced, Verandah at 4S does cheesecake well. I'd not venture that way if nowhere near simply for dessert, but it is commendable.

I will travel far and wide for a good meal or dessert. We always stay at hotels on Las Vegas Boulevard so it would not be a long trip.

Verandah serves 100% whole wheat pasta which not a lot of restaurants in Las Vegas do. I have 2 reasons to try Verandah.

It might be a simple dessert, but it is hard to find a good one!
As much as I like Tender's theirs is terrible (hard pressed to even call it cheesecake).
The one at Gallagher's is okay, but nothing thrilling.
I'm sure I've had it at other restaurants, but never found any great ones in Vegas.

I could also be an east coast snob when it comes to cheesecake :)
