Major Money Mystery

I play at a few different Louisiana casinos 1-2 ish times a month. Not a big player by any stretch, I usually have $30-50 bonus money (?) on my players card at any one of the casinos I visit. A couple of weeks ago I had $5000 on my card. This is in bonus slot dollars, not casino comps. I think it was a mistake but my friend says there are no mistakes like this in the casino business. I received no notification I had this money it was just there when I keyed in my pass code at a slot machine. I was torn whether to go to players club to say there must be a mistake....really....so I didn't. So I played it all in about 10 hours. I kept thinking someone was going to come and take my card away so I didn't play very smart, but I had a very very fun 10 hour run. So what do you guys think? Mistake or karma for being an all around good gal?

 

Maybe you won something you didnt know about. My local is always doing mystery money. Its like $25- $2500. I've "won" $100 before and they didnt tell me. Your anxiety probably ruined you playing you properly "won" money and kepty you from turning it into real cash playing Video Poker or something. Did you lose it all?

 

I'm with Grid on this one. I'm betting you won some promotion for free-play they were doing. I know several of the LA casinos do this all the time.

 

Hindsight is a beautiful thing . I walked away with $900 but it would have been a lot more if I didn't feel like I was doing something naughty. If it ever happens again I have a better idea of how to handle so that I walk away with a much larger percentage. I kept praying I wouldn't hit a hand pay because I feared the jig would be up. I was also upgraded to a suite at checkin, this also has never happened.
