What is your favorite breakfast buffet on the strip and why? Getting into town at 8 a.m. Saturday and looking for a tasty base to help get the trip started right.

I am of the belief that breakfast should be done inexpensively. That said Orleans fits the bill for me.

As you requested, on the Strip breakfast buffets are wide open as far as their various fans.... two of the favorites have been mentioned. I am a Bellagio fan myself, although I do like Paris also.

Aria hands down! Great view in the morning with the huge windows, excellent bloody Mary's and Mimosa's, and the quality of the food is top notch. If you can get a MyVegas two for one, even better.
Sterling Brunch at Bally's would beat it out, but its a little pricey and only offered on Sundays.

I'm partial to The Mirage's buffet...although I have read they took away the servers and all the beverages are self serve.

    Downtown---
Gold Nugget has always been good
Freemont is the worst--not even worth a free comp

    For food quality - Paris.

For value - Sams Town, which is really not that bad at all, and yes, I can be a bit picky.

You can't go wrong with any of them. Paris is very very good for breakfast and Mandalay Bay is the most underrated buffet in Vegas IMHO. Fantastic breakfast.

On a Saturday morning, you will encounter mostly brunch buffets, not so much "breakfast" buffets. Many will have unlimited champagne/mimosas, but the price will reflect that too. So, it depends on what you are looking for. :)

When we went, it was around 8 and not many people. About an hour later, we were done eating and drinking coffee on our way out, the line was huge. We got there at the right time. So if you want to try Paris, go early.

We have planned for our upcoming trip .... Excalibur - free from myvegas - why? it's close to the big bus tour stop - it's free and we don't eat much for breakfast anyway that can be totally screwed up. The other is at The Orleans - free on f&b comp - as we are staying there makes sense - we never had a bad meal at a Boyd hotel but that being said never been to Vegas either
