You will like either hotel. Palazzo is a little closer to Mirage. Both hotels have quiet, luxurious rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms near the end of the hall are the quietest. I don't remember snack machines in Wynn or Palazzo. Both casinos serve good cocktails. No casino on the Strip has good slots.

They both are nice properties. I personally prefer the Wynn over Palazzo, but you can't go wrong with both.

In my opinion, Wynn/Encore is much better than Venetian/Palazzo, but the rooms at V/P are not that bad. Palazzo will be closer to Mirage, but it is not that difficult from Wynn either. From the Wynn, cross the street to Fashion Show Mall, cross pedestrian bridge to TI, cut through TI to tram to Mirage, or cut through driveway to Mirage...or just take the sidewalk all the way down. For Pallazo, cut cross the street at the gondola ride, in front of Venetian, and you will be right in front of Mirage. Rhumbar is always giving free drink vouchers on the strip, at the covered walkway, leading to Rhumbar.

In response to your question about Hookahs:
The Foundation Room is located on top of Mandalay Bay hotel on the south Strip. Foundation Room has a great view of the Strip, strong drinks, good dining and Hookahs. Contact the FR Concierge for specific details

Both are great luxury resorts with lots of amenities. Palazzo rooms are like suites with a sunken living room area and l-shaped sofas with a chaise. I like the restaurants overall a little better at P/V, but Wynn/Encore has great restaurants also. They are right next to each other across a street bridge so it will be easy to visit both.

Planet Hollywood has a bar which has hookahs, but it def is not a hookah bar. I want to say it's the Mexican restaurant/bar since I recall margaritas, but I don't remember for sure.

Probably not your scene if you're looking at palazzo and wynn

We have much experience with both properties, so here goes:

    1. The best cocktails, bar none, are at Parasol Up at Wynn.
    2. Beds are a push. Both are plush and comfy.
    3. Room Service at Palazzo is very good. Room Service at Wynn is stellar.
    4. Palazzo is closer to Mirage by about 100 meters.
    5. Neither. If you snacks or drinks, you'll have to pick them up at the shops before you hit the elevators at either property.
    6. Palazzo is quiet all the time. Wynn is quiet - Encore has some noise. Get a room above the 30th floor and you're good.
    7. Can't help you here.
