Hi, I have a MYVegas reward I would like to get to celebrate a birthday for my boyfriend. We are an "older group" (late 40's and 50 somethings), but I wanted to check to see which would be the better place for the bottle service reward. I've looked at both bars and the Deuce looked pretty quiet, dark and dead when I looked in a few months back. Golds was quiet too, (this was a week night) but appeared to be "lighter" and slightly livelier. What are you thoughts/experiences between the two places? What is the best night? We are thinking Friday or Saturday since one couple is local and since they are NOT on vacation (as we are), they would prefer a weekend. What about the dress code? What is the best time to be there?? Keep in mind we don't need it super crowded or super loud. Thanks.

We've been to the Deuce twice and just don't like the vibe there. We watched a football game last year but they act like they're doing you a favor when you buy a drink there. We were walking through Aria a couple weeks ago and a tout in the casino handed us some 2 for 1 drink coupons to Deuce so we decided to give them another chance. We took them to the bar and ordered champagnes. We were rudely informed the coupons were only good for well drinks, wine or beer by bartender. The bartenders then ignored us so we left. We went back to the tout and said the Deuce was a joke. Whey give out the coupons and then act like jerks when people try to use them. The tout said he'd heard complaints about the bartenders before.

which place are you going to Gold's or The Deuce? I'm leaning towards Gold's but don't want to feel out of place!

From what I have read, Gold is a way better experience.

Did Gold last July and had a blast. I'm 45 and group range was 33 yo to me. It is more low key and had a great mix of music. More of a lounge vibe. They also do all you can drink specials for men and women but my friends did the special on the Light Groups website since it was combo birthday/bach party scenario.

We redeemed ours for Deuce and it SUCKED. So many restrictions on what you can order... have to get a bottle first and we chose vodka...they would not let us call the brand so we got a $350 bottle of Skyy...but damn it, I "earned" it so we drank it...our server had like one other table but chose to hang out near the bar and be useless. The barback came by and made sure we had ice and juices and was actually quite friendly. With the remainder of our $500 (that's the comp value), we tried to order off the menu but were told by the server that we could only order well drinks. WELL DAMN. We ordered as much as we could muster and passed out drinks to folks around us. The vibe was LAME. The DJ thought he was so awesome but let the music stop three times and would not take requests. But I did manage to get wasted and stumbled out, stuck a 20 in a penny slot and hit max bet as I smoked a cig...and hit for $600. SO, it all worked out. We ended up tipping the barback $100 and the server 10 bucks...basically for existing. I attached a pic of the setup. 10273776_10203861814404910_7993531169799754054_n.jpg

Wow that seems like a bad experience. So you had no other choice but Skyy Vodka?

I figured through my enquiries you had $500
for any bottle off the menu!!!

Did the Gold Lounge redemption in February and had a blast. Went with my friend on a Friday (Valentine's day). We were told that we could redeem up to $500 worth, and did not have any restrictions. We ordered a bottle of grey goose, which came with all sorts of mixers. We also ordered a couple of waters and left it at that. We got there at about 9pm and it was quiet at first, but as the night went on it got live livelier with music and dancing. It was only the two of us at first, but as the night went on and we met people and managed to gather an entourage at our table, which was helpful in finishing the vodka and mixers. At the end of the night we tipped $100, which fortunately my friend won from a dancing contest there.

I think from your description of your group, the Gold Lounge maybe best.

Yep, we could only get Skyy. I had read mixed reviews about what you could have and can usually charm my way to the better option. :) We were really disappointed in the level of service. Our barback was really great so we were really happy to have two blanks on the receipt...one for the server tip and one for the barback tip. We thought about leaving four bucks on the table for the server but upgraded her to 10 bucks feeling generous. We also made sure to hand the barback the receipt with his $100 tip so that she didn't try to screw him over.

We wanted a chill lounge and I regret not going for what seems to be a more consistently better service and experience choice with Gold.

Deuce isn't a club. It's just a bar/lounge. It's about the size of Napoleon's at Paris or the bar at Harrah's where the Twins play.

    Texadan-

Dont think he was trying to be rude but i have been in the nightclub business and asking one of these "ego maniac dj's " to play a song is the equivalent to taking a paint brush and adding color or shapes to an artists painting.

Its ridiculius, but it is what it is. It isnt the customer is always right when it comes to these clowns, have fun!
