Not hitting Vegas till December so will the coupons still be valid? Just want to make sure before I spend the $12 on it. Also mainly looking at some of the free play and match play downtown. Is there anywere to get them free and not have to buy the ACG?

I'm thinking about getting one myself. Here's a list of the coupons,

A quick look through my ACG - all the coupons I checked expire the last day of the year.

FYI, they have a sale on now if you follow this link, it should come up with a price of $9.48 per book. It is supposed to be for newsletter subscribers only, this is where it took me when I followed the link in my emailed newsletter:

    http://www.americancasinoguide.com/131-uncategorised-sp-913/13500-american-casino-guide-newsletter-special-ordering-page.html

If that doesn't work for you, shoot me a PM and I will forward you the email for the correct link.

There are some shipping charges involved though:

    Book Shipping: Media Mail: $4.50 first/$1 each add'l. Priority: $6 first/$1.50 each add'l. Hawaii/Alaska use Priority! FOREIGN AIR MAIL: Canada-$11.50 first/$8 each add'l. Int'l - $17.95 first/$8 each add'l (order may be subject to customs duty).

I hope this works for someone.

We find the book to be a great value - and an even better value if you trade some coupons you won't be using for those that you would like more of for your own use.

    Cheers,
    Kelly

As the year goes on, I believe they keep dropping the price to help sell out the year's stock.

Otherwise, it looks like you are going to be there around the middle of December so you should be OK: if there were any restrictions on the coupons they would usually be for the holiday times (Dec 24-25, Dec 30-31) otherwise they should all be good!

There have been a few years where the ACG sold out. That's why I used to grab one in January whether I had a trip coming up or not. The ACG is reasonable on Amazon if you've got other things to pick up and get the free shipping. The LVA membership gets cheaper as the year goes on, so you can wait for that one. And I think there's a point at which they release the following year's coupons and you can use those instead. I wait to get the LVA until I know I'm going. I'm fuzzy on the details though, so you have to look into it further.

But, in my opinion, if you're going to use enough of the coupons, then yes, it's worth it. I get both coupon books before each trip and if I use 1 or 2 coupons I'm already ahead. I also give away my leftovers so not as many go to waste. Some people frown upon the practice but you can trade the ones you know you're not going to use. I've committed to trades ahead of actually receiving the coupons. When they come in I complete the trade. It reduces waste.

    Anyhow, it's up to you.

For December, I would gamble on LVA offering a trial membership for cheap and getting their book. That would require getting to their office to pick it up, though. Also, the new book hits the street late fall and the coupons are good as soon as it's released. If you are planning a trip in the next calendar year, you may get more value getting the new one instead. At any rate, you have some time before you decide.

We went every december for about 10 consecutive years. Usually it was mid december right after the NFR Rodeo, but still returning in time to celebrate X-Mas at home. Usual dates where from around Dec 11th thru the 22nd.

A couple of those years, we noticed LVA selling their books in december at a huge discount. I can remember paying $10 bucks for the book 2 different years, which was an awesome deal.

But we have not visited LV for the last 3 decembers, hence we didn't check to see if this offer was repeated.
