I am staying at Monte Carlo - Week 4 - Redskins vs Seahawks.
Going with a group of friends, and wondering where the best Sports Book is.

    A few things.

    1) We've stayed at Mirage, and love it, but want to try something new.
    2) Probably not going to watch it at Monte Carlo.
    3) We want to stay on the strip.

    Thanks

Check out the new sports bar and restaurant at MGM Grand it is very close to the book and has real food.

Kind of depends on what you're looking for when you say the best. What's important to your group? Food, seating, the quality of the TV screens, a crowd?

And how much do you want to spend? Sportsbook at Monte Carlo is pretty nice.

Go to 'Football Central' at the Las Vegas Hilton. It's separate from the sports book. Free entry, BIG screens with every game, drawings for cool football swag, all held inside a giant theater style room with super comfortable chairs. They even have their own mini-sports book to make your bets so that you don't have to go to the main book on the floor. Food & drink specials are numerous as they have their own little food area where you can order both hot & cold foods alike (burgers, dogs, beer, etc.). They show all the 10am PDT & 1pm PDT games each Sunday. I don't know if they are open for the Sunday night & Monday night games. We had a great time when we went there last year.

The Redskins Seattle game is Week 5 and it is the Monday Night game. It will be available everywhere. It will not be available in Football Central because that is a sunday event I believe. The game will be on in the LVH Sportsbook. But because it is Monday night there will be a ton of places and other showrooms that will have the game on. Monday night games are always fun in Vegas

Most definitely the correct answer. Though, Lagasse's is not cheap.

You might want to also check out the Pub at Monte Carlo in the underground walkway between MC and Aria if you don't mind not watching in a sportsbook. Pound for pound, I really like the Aria sportsbook as well. Gets very crowded though so you have to get there really early.

I had a little snicker from the long comment about "Las Vegas Hilton." Not only is it not the Las Vegas Hilton any longer, it's no longer the LVH. It's the Westgate. Shows you the last time that person was in the Las Vegas Hilton!

I also liked the setup Aria had.. Huge screens, good crowd, all the games were available and viewable from most locations. Only problem is it got packed, really quickly. For the 10:00AM games I was there at 7:15AM, and I still wasn't the first person there. Still got a good seat, no problem, but it got really busy in a hurry. I found during the break in games it started to clear out, and by the time the late games came on there was a whole new crowd of people there (and seating was now available)

If you're looking to bet do it early though, the line was massive within 30 minutes to kickoff. They did have a lot of tellers working, but still lengthy line. The pizza place right outside it has pretty good food too.

My only time to LVH to watch football was last year and since it wasn't Sunday, the games were in some small theater area in the sportsbook. It was disappointing and nothing to schlep all the way out to LVH for.

The NFL games are on monstrous screens. For NFL, there is no better book than LVH. It is mecca for nfl football.

I think Aria has the best sports book too, but unfortunately it is small. The thing that kills me with most sports books is that their big screens look like crap. When Aria opened years ago those 2 huge screens they have are just amazing and still the best on the strip as far as I've seen.

I like Aria a lot, but the downside to me ..... I hate the TV screen boards. I greatly prefer the big green and red electronic boards. They are easier for me to read and I can view a bunch more games at once instead of waiting for the smaller TV screens to scroll through

Yeah I want the huge display boards which is why I am always drawn to The Mirage's set up.
