My wife and I will be in Vegas in 2 weeks to celebrate her 40th birthday. She'd like to go to some sort of adult (nude, semi-nude, sexy) show while we're there. On the male review side it seems like there is Chippendales and Thunder, and on the female side something like X Burlesque or Fantasy. I don't think she's going to like going to an actual strip club. I'd be willing to taker her to a male show, but I suspect I will be the only guy there. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    1st, Welcome to VMB.
2nd. That's one hellava intro question.

I like you already. I've read/heard good things about Thunder Down Under at Excalibur (for the girls).

Zumanity is a decent show for couples, at least in the opinion of myself and my lovely wife.....

Pin Up - with Clair Sinclair at Stratosphere - is a smallish burlesque show in an old-style lounge setting. I like it because it's not one of the big Cirque productions. And, the price is very reasonable as well. It's one of the handful of shows on The Strip with a live band (which really kicks it).

Zumanity...probably the best for your situation. It's got a little bit for both sides of the plate.

I fell asleep in Zumanity. And O. I don't like Cirque shows ;-) I didn't find it sexy or funny, just boring. But I am mostly in the minority on this.

I liked Fantasy much better. Still want to see Thunder Down Under (wanted to see with my sister last time we were in town together but she'd already seen it - with her mom I think ;-)

    I want to see Absinthe!

Doesn't that feature original music by Frankie Moreno?

It could be some of his stuff is mixed in there. But, I recognized most of the music from old school stage bands.

Thanks for the recommendations. Any guys been to Chippendales or Thunder? Seems like it's a girls only sort of thing, but I'm a good sport and would go if the wife wants to.

If you like really up close ( very small venue) and like rock and roll music the RockX show at Rio is good.

Thunder must be good. It seems when the ladies come out of that show they are very amorous. Having never seen it I still highly recommend it. :wink2:

Actually, I have been to Chippendales before, and you have nothing to worry about. There were several guys there at my show, husbands, boy friends, gay men, other entertainers. Our seats were on the front row and to the left, and I was scared to death at first. The show is actually pretty fun, and your wife will LOVE you for it. I took advantage of the bar, and by the end of the night it was all good. The scariest part is standing in line, but everyone is welcome inside. The dancers don't take as much off as the average person would guess. And they don't engage the guys in the audience. But you can pay your $20 and get your picture taken after the show. The Rio is one of my favorite casinos. Make a night of it.

I have done Chippendales; personally I find the shows with women much sexier.
DH & I have seen Zumanity (this pushes the sexuality factor--we truly enjoyed it, our fav Cirque show, but a couple acts are bizarre...), X Burlesque (2x) & Fantasy. We are seeing XRocks next trip.
Fantasy is very classy, a small step above X. I like the intimacy of the X venue better BUT I hate the sideways seating of the non-VIP seats there.
Personally I'd see XBurlesque & spring for the VIP seats. Very sexy show. But I would see all of them again!!

I might be the oddball, but I think Absinthe is a sexy show. It has a lot of passion, semi nude men & women, and raunchy jokes. I love Absinthe! I also saw Zumanity and it was alright.
