    My Trip Report

Somewhat impromptu trip to see the NBA summer league. I usually stay at Ballys and was looking into trying out an MGM prop. It's so hard paying for a room after getting comped basic rooms for the past few rooms. I even entertained the idea of gambling as a secondary priority!

After looking at $100 per night rooms I realized how silly it was to pay the room rate, resort fees, and taxes when I could get a meh room midstrip for just a resort fee. We took a quick Reno trip and I've been bitten by the gambling bug again. I got to feel what it felt like to not lose my entire nut. With most of that trip's bankroll intact, I figured I could get back in the saddle in Vegas.

I booked a fab luxury Flamingo room and bought tix to the summer league game to watch the Warriors and new coach Steve Kerr.

I don't drink much and we usually are in bed by midnight. I just love to gamble. I get to enjoy decent booze at home to my heart's content. We also love to eat and prefer to find places off-strip.

Didn't mean to leave it hanging, but I passed out after that short intro. Last trip in April 2013, I learned that playing BJ at the $10 level on the Strip was dangerous at night. Most of the people at my tables had no clue. Guys would split 10s, double on hard 17/18. You know, the typical booze-fueled shenanigans. Of course, they would win! One guy even berated me for drawing with 15 against a dealer high card...

This trip I decided to only gamble on the Strip during daylight hours and move over to downtown for any night time action. I didn't know it going into the trip but I also decided I would try to avoid 6:5 BJ at the Ceasar's properties, which meant $25. I'm usually a low-ish roller and have tried $25 BJ in the past and it was feast or famine, largely because I always press on wins. As I started playing on this trip, I decided to see how flat betting at a higher starting level treated me. I've lost quite a bit pressing aggressively on $5 tables in the past and it left a pretty sour taste.

I'm mostly a craps player and will try to sniff out $5 tables. Sticking to daytime Strip action and moving downtown at night should help me stay on track. My current starting spread goes $5 PL/2x odds, inside for $16/17. Press on first then collect. I'll full press and collect on repeaters. My last Reno trip, I hit on my hard 6/8 progression once and it is like crack. $1 6/8. Parley first hit to $10, press to $50, then $100. I hit the $50 for a nice $400 last month. I look at these bets as my "slot" money, shooting for a jackpot. For play at Main Street, I go only place bets since they don't rate odds in the avg bet.

I'm going to try to finish this up over the day.

After landing, we got picked up by my GFs family. Her parents flew in from the Southeast and her aunt driving in from SoCal. We arrived around 1 so decided to get lunch and gamble a bit before check-in. Hit the Burger Brassiere between Bally's and Paris. I can't remember who said this, but burgers should have as little non-meat/cheese components. I got the burger with carmelized onions and gruyere. So much umami goodness. A word to the wise: skip the onion rings. Though they batter them inhouse, they put way too much batter and not enough time in the fryer (or the oil was not hot enough). I split open one ring and showed the waitress the uncooked flour batter and she said, "we make them inhouse," as if to mean, they are intended to be undercooked. Rather than argue the point, I just asked for it to be taken off the tab as most of it went uneaten and she agreed without hesitation.

Surprisingly, Bally's had $5 dice so I bought in for 3 bills. Nothing memorable here and I think I was only down 1 bill after 30 mins of play. Walking with some chips always feels like a win! GFs family is playing $10 BJ on a 6:5 table. I start mulling over the possibility of playing some $25 BJ since those are 3:2. As I mentioned above, I used to press like mad when I played BJ in the past. At first, things went great and I thought I had found my personal ATM. Then, of course, reality set in and I had a few really bad BJ trips and would get wiped very quickly. Being a mostly dice player, I carried the same aggressive pressing from dice to BJ. As I circled the table pit searching for a $25 table, I rationalized the higher denom by committing to flat bet unless winning several consecutive hands or a double/split.

I found a shoe game and bought in with a few bills. I rarely like to play at an empty table, but that changed this trip. While bad variance will hurt more with more hands/hr, I liked not having to worry about anyone else's play. I was quite nervous as I'm accustomed to betting $5 or $10. I don't know why green action would make me sweat since I routinely play double that on dice. My rationale side fretted over the significantly higher hands/hour in BJ vs craps. I started out great, mostly breaking even, never getting an opportunity to press. This was a great first session since I basically broke even. One dude joined me and it turned out he was on his bachelor party. He bought in for just $120 and managed to last quite a while. One of his drunken buddies stumbled over with eyes at half mast. The rest of his crew showed up and eyes-half-closed bro started getting belligerent because he wanted more shots right that moment. As the group walked away, I thought, "would they actually serve this guy who could barely walk straight?" A few minutes later, they return with shots. Ahhh, I've truly arrived in Vegas....

I decide it's time to check-in, so I schlep myself over to the Flamingo while the rest of my group plays at Bally's. It is a surprisingly short walk across Flamingo Blvd, cutting through the Cromwell taxi/valet circle and right into the Flamingo taxi/valet circle. All told, it's only about 1 regular city block of walking. Most of my Strip stays are at Bally's where check-in is usually hectic. Flamingo had a TR gold level check-in! I couldn't believe how many people had no card and had to wait in the 15-20 party deep regular check-in. I ask to make sure I won't get a room overlooking Drais. I get to the room and am greeted with floor to ceiling/wall to wall windows. The "Strip" view is really like a Ceasars advertisement, as that's all I could see out of this huge window. The room was fine but the bathroom was left out of the remodel. The bathroom was only a half notch above what you might find a Super 8.

Walking through the Flamingo casino, I only see $10 dice games. I cross over into the Cromwell and the remodel looks great. Dark lighting with lots of dark wood. The absolute best thing is the lack of any smoky/perfumy odor. It just smells like nothing! The BJ was all $10+ but single dice table was $5. Of course, I walk up and the shooter is already sitting on 3 firebet numbers. I put down my usual starting action after he makes his 4th point. He proceeds to hit his 5th point, but 7s out soon after. All told, this guy only shot the dice for about 20mins but he managed to make the 5 points without rolling many other box numbers. As good as this would have been, I need lots of repeaters to make any money on a good roll. The shooter had a $5 fire and netted $1250. The guy standing to my right was really lively. The CW service was great and I wasn't ordering anything. He made a friendly joke about me coming to Vegas to "get straight." I realize that most people go to Vegas to drink and do things they maybe wouldn't do at home. I'm fortunate enough to drink well when I'm at home and have no urge to drink bottom shelf booze just because it's free. The guy is friendly enough so it doesn't bother me. I can't remember how long I stayed here but I ended up losing a bit more here. There wasn't anything dice-wise too memorable about this session. All in all, a decent start to the trip. 2 dice sessions and only down a couple hundo.

I head back to Bally's to round up the group for dinner. While they finish up, I furiously search Yelp for some ideas. We used to go to an izakaya (Japanese small plates) near the Hard Rock, but it closed a couple years ago. I found a fusion-y Japanese place (Yonaka) near Decauter that does modern Japanese small plates. We did an 8 course omakase ($90) that was advertised as enough food for 2-3 people (5 in our party). We expected to start with that then supplement with other things we wanted to try. Most tasting menu courses are very small. This place gives a ridiculous amount of food in each course. There were exactly 5 "servings" on each dish. I thought maybe they doubled the order but the server confirmed that these were the normal serving sizes. First course was fried brussels. The next 3 were fish sashimi/crudo dishes of salmon, sea bass, and yellowtail. While all good, they all had similar taste profiles, salty, citrusy, sweet. Next came 2 meat courses with very meaty, double cooked pork belly and what I assumed was beef tenderloin. I really love unctuous porkbelly with a good amount of melt-in-your-mouth fat. This belly was so meaty, there was just a thin line of fat. Very tasty but missing that fattiness. Before the dessert course, I was the only one still hungry, so I ordered aji (fancy mackerel) and uni (urchin). Dessert was a green tea semifreddo, green tea brownie and strawberry ice cream. The total tab was only $170 which included tip. I don't think you can eat this well for so little on the Strip.

We decide to head to Main Street for our night time gambling. I dropped the group off and went to park the car. They started charging for both lots! You can get your parking fee back by earning a small amount of tier credits but I couldn't believe a Downtown prop would actually charge for parking. The dice table was about 3/4 full. This place is usually pretty busy by 9pm, with both dice tables running at near capacity. Because this prop doesn't include odds in avg bet, I go purely placebet unless I'm shooting. Things go pretty poorly for most of this session. Highest I got any of my place bets was $25/30. No one can get anything going. The only bright spot was hitting my $10 hard 8 parley for a $50 win (pressed the hard 8 up to $50). I will put the dealers on the hard 6/8 as well. They hit a couple times, but never parleyed. Last month in Reno, the dealers parleyed with me and took down a $100 win when I hit their parleyed hard 8. I managed to squeeze a couple hours at the table before losing my buy-in.

We head back to the Strip around 11:30 and I'm starving already. I wanted to work out in the morning so I know I had to fuel up. The food court at the Flamingo was busy. I tried to be reasonably healthy and opted for mixed veg and kungpao chicken. I inhaled the food and took a shower. Off to lala land. I think I'm down about $600 at this point and mostly from dice. I think I only had one BJ session as I don't remember playing any at Main Street.

Next post probably won't come until after a series of meetings this afternoon.

I had an offer at Bally's booked for this week that I had to cancel. I also had planned on catching some of the summer league games. I went a couple of years ago and found it a great way to spend an afternoon and not too hard on the budget.

I almost always wake up between 5-6 am when in a gambling town and in the past would head straight to an empty dice table and piss away a buy-in before breakfast. Over the years, I've disciplined myself to slow down with some VP. Starting with my last Reno trip, I've transitioned into working out instead. The Flamingo gym has little nook in the front that has a bunch of big balls/steps/bands. I have no idea what these are for but there was a nice rectangular area to jump rope. Thankfully, they had foam roll so I could get my stretch as well. I jump rope without my glasses so couldn't see much but I noticed that there were a lot of young folks on the treadmills just walking. I'm no exercise expert, but that seemed like a waste of time. After my session, I head back to the room to shower up and head to Ceasars for Payard's Eggs Benedict. This has become a tradition for us anytime we visit Vegas. The GF gets the quiche which is ridiculously light and fluffy. The coffee here is top notch. I would need to double my workout to work off the amount of calories consumed from that single plate.

We head over to Bally's to meet up with the rest the group. The craziest part of this story is that my GF's aunt has been awake for about 26hrs by the time we started breakfast. She hit a royal on quarters about 7:30 am after a night of constant losing. We decide to go to the Crom since I talked it up after my dice session yesterday. Despite an empty dice table at 10am, the minimum is set to $10. I watch the fam play some $10 6:5 BJ and decide to test my luck on $25 3:2 BJ shoe. I buy for 5 bills and proceed to go on a 20 minute tear. I never decided on a firm number of consecutive wins before I pressed. I hit several BJs at $25. I hit one good run where I went to $50. Collect, same bet, collect, press to $75, collect, same bet, press to $100. I doubled and won. I pressed to $150 and won. I same bet and lost. This sequence probably took all of 5 mins. I hung around flat betting $25 and pressed up to maybe $75 once more before calling it quits. I could have stuck around but I basically got scared of giving any of it back. I colored up +$700. By my 50c piece count, I hit 5 BJs in this short span. The crazy thing about this session was that I was playing on an empty table and the dealer and I were just having a conversation about where I live and the general atmosphere on the Strip vs Downtown. I know it had nothing to do with the luck, but I really enjoy these sessions, where I'm not sweating the dice or the cards and just chatting about random shit. I find I can't really do this with other players at the table.

Officially being up on the trip, I decided a quick hit and run on the $10 dice game. I only bought in for $100. I played my usual action with only 1x odds, but doubled everything else. I got exactly 2 hands out of this session! I think I spent the rest of the morning just watching everyone else play BJ and slots. We wanted to try a Hawaiian grill place that had poke (raw tuna served with various condiments). We drove out towards Henderson, which I've never done before. It's just like any other suburb with a lot of big box strip malls. Island sushi with a Poke Express was located in one of these strip malls. The 5 of us shared a bunch of things. Spicy poke (mayo/spicy sauce/tobiko/avocado ahi), Limu poke (soy sauce/limu, a seaweed/ahi), and Furikake poke (soy sauce/furikake/ahi), bento box (spam/mochiko chicken/takuan), and yakisoba with spam/charsiu. The poke totaled a little over a pound of fish at $16/pound. The mochiko chicken was pretty tasty as well. We finished with piece of custard pie and butter mochi. Banging lunch for $50.

After returning to the Strip, GF and I head up to lounge before heading to UNLV to catch the summer league games. The aunt is still going strong, 30+ hours without sleep. The tickets to all of the day's games only cost $25+service fee. I had been to the summer league back when it was played in Long Beach, CA and didn't recall the quality of ball. We arrived midway into the second of 4 games. Toronto vs Dallas. It was a lot of hero ball and no movement. The talent was clearly not NBA caliber as most of the roster is filled with people that won't be on any roster come the regular season. The 3rd game was Cleveland vs Sixers. This game had some talent with #1 pick Andrew Wiggins and previous #1 Anthony Bennett. The Cavs were well coached and actually played like an NBA team but the Sixers came out of the half better organized but still lost. The final game was Warriors vs Lakers and it was mostly disappointing. The Dubs had no draft picks this year so the squad was a bunch of undrafted free agents and a couple bench players from the regular season roster. The Lakers led most of the game but the Dubs came back in the final quarter to force a 2 minute overtime. The game got real! With just 6 seconds, Justin Holliday nailed a mid range jumper to take the lead by 1. All chaos broke out and the game actually stopped for a good 30 secs as the refs were figuring something out. This gave the Dubs an opportunity to setup defensively. The Lakers just pushed the ball and got an open layup and got the tip right before the buzzer! The atmosphere was almost like a real game by the end. People chanting, stomping feet, standing. I was drained by the end of the game. Other highlights were seeing PJ Carlissimo and Sage Steele up close. Grant Hill was calling the game with Marv Albert courtside.

The aunt didn't go to the game but she was still up, 36 hours and counting. We called her around 9 and decided to head Downtown for dinner and a little more gambol. She was still up for more action. I've done my share of all nighters, mostly due to work and could not figure out how she remained functional let alone CONSCIOUS. We scoop her up at Bally's and head to Main Street again. I haven't played there in over a year with the exception of the previous night. I guess I had enough action for a $60 comp to the Triple7 grill. Gotta love Downtown! Chinese chicken salad, portabello mushroom sammie and fried green beans. Washed down with 23 oz of the house brewed pale ale.

After dinner, I decide to press hard on the craps table as this is our last night and I'm basically even on the trip. Of course, the table does nothing but suck chips like a hoover. It was hilarious. I joined a full table. The entire table changed en masse to the other empty table. I hang on for another couple hands then switch as well. Play continues on this table for another 30 mins or so and the group swaps tables again! With my buy-in almost burned I just stick it out on the near empty table. Only good thing to come out of this session was hitting another $10 hard 8 for a $50 profit. I pressed it up to $50 but couldn't get it to hit.

I decide to try my luck at $25 BJ but MSS doesn't offer a $25 game so I risk playing at a $5 table. I start on an empty table and things go south pretty quickly. 2 drunkards buy in and I stupidly continue playing quarters. One guy says, "I only play blackjack." He then proceeds to flub the proper hand signals on a pitch game. He explains that he's used to a shoe game, completely understandable faux pas when drunk. A few hands later, he commences to split 10s vs a dealer 5. I can't remember how the cards would have gone or if I lost or won that hand, but I start getting that "losing my shit" feeling. This is why I avoid the Strip at night because of play like this. I immediately switch to a $10 table on the opposite side of the pit. I have about 50% of my starting wad. My GF's mother finds me and sits down. The tactless Korean dealer asks me if she is my grandmother. I chuckle and say no. My GF's mother asks, "what did she say?" "Nothing." She won't let it go and I bust out laughing. I hadn't mentioned it in the TR but I've been carded on about 75% of the tables this trip. This is a record for me. I think it's because I've lost about 10 lbs and I do look quite young. It also helps that we have no kids! The dealer guessed that I was about 25, LOL. The BJ turns sour here as well. I grind down to 4 greens and decide to give dice one last chance.

The aunt is now pushing 40hrs of no sleep. She joins me at the dice table. I play my usual action and the dice actually turn favorable. She has a decent hand which adds another $100 to my stack. The next shooter standing between us proceeds to roll a mini monster. He hammers the 6 (easy of course) and I work that up to $120. He 7d before hitting at that level. The rest of my inside numbers were into the green chip level though. I try but fail to continue the heat, PSO. I clawed my way back from - $200 to +$75. The sleepless aunt hit much better since she just kept collecting green chips instead of pressing hard and netted +$400.

We head back to the Strip around 2am, 44 hours of no sleep for the aunt. I recall being down a couple hundred bucks on the trip now, mostly on the back of that terrible MSS craps table hopping session. I crash with hopes of waking up in a few hours to work out...

Man, your aunt is one helluva Vegas trouper!

I am getting sleepy just thinking about 24hrs with no sleep and she's banging out almost two days worth of non-stop action?!? Go Aunty!

    Nice report!

I was impressed. I start to nod off playing VP for 30mins. She wasn't drinking so she doesn't earn the ultra hardcore medal.

I wake up at 7:30 and decide whether to waste a precious hour of the remaining 6 I have left in Vegas. Forget working out, time to swing for the fences. I made a conscious effort to eat reasonably well so that I could get away with a minimal amount of exercise. I was also only down a couple hundred on the trip. I take a quick shower and head down in search for a $5 table. Little did I know that I would spend the next 30 mins trekking up and down mid-Strip. The Flamingo has $10 on a half full table. The Cromwell has an empty $10 table. Bally's has a half full $10 table. Paris has a single shooter on a $10 table. At this point, I'm thinking "I should just play some BJ." Then I realize my brain-fart of forgetting about the Quad, right outside the elevators of the Flamingo...

I double back and find an empty $5 dice table. I've given up playing under such conditions as cold dice just suck chips faster than anything I've played. Screw it, I'm only down a couple hundred with just a few hours left. The dealers are friendly and the boss is hilarious. Short Vietnamese dude from Orange County. We chat about the summer league games I saw yesterday and he says he was a starter on the varsity high school team as a frosh. He kept joking during the entire session, "I'm a starter bro!" A nice Brit buys in soon after me straight out on the opposite end and The Starter keeps muttering to short stick her to the stickman! She wasn't even wearing a revealing top, just a typical tank top. The dealer on my side of the table was from Nebraska but married a Bulgarian woman. He visited her small hometown last year and really enjoyed the slow-paced life. Coffee shops everywhere, leisurely meals. Again, I think to myself, "damn I'm lucky." I get to do those things in my regular life. We even tried to calculate how much he would have to save to retire there for 30 years. $750k. Seems like a reasonable goal if social security is still around.

Despite the casual convo, the dice just sucked. I managed to hit several $1 hardways but never got the parley bets. Points were infrequent and the sevens came furious. I managed to squeak out an hour and a half session on $300. I texted the GF and we hit the Starbux in the walkway for coffee and pastries.

After eating, we search for action in the Flamingo as I hadn't even gambled there yet. I sat down to a $25 table and chatted up another nice dealer. She also guessed I was in my late 20s. I learned that the main table pit always has 3:2 BJ even on the $10 tables. The party pit is where they hook the suckers into 6:5. This BJ session was near break even. I must have played around 20-30 mins since there was a dealer change midway through the session. I was ready to go but my GF being the bestest enabler, encouraged me to keep going since I slowly accumulated chips. I don't remember pressing past $50, but I did hit on several DD/splits at base bet. She left to play some $5 dice right behind me and dropped her wad pretty quickly. In that short span I also gave back whatever meager winnings I had scrapped up. I colored with a $15 win, LOL.

We check out and reconnect with her family. Hardcore auntie finally got about 7 hours of sleep. We head back to the Cromwell for the last gambling of the trip. The dice table is empty and still set to $10. Hardcore auntie asks if 3 of us could play at $5 and the boss quickly agrees. This session goes much the same as the earlier session at the Quad. Not many points, but plenty of seven. Nothing going on this table. Despite getting some rest, auntie shows signs of fatigue asking the stick to remind her when her hardways fall. No more than 1 minute passes when she makes the same request. I just lean into the stick and explain she's been up on a gambling bender for almost 48hrs. Hardcore auntie also shows signs of going on tilt. She bought in for 1 bill but then proceeded to keep buying 1 bill at a time until she finally yields at 5 bills. I'm betting at my usual pace and only grind down to a $150 loss and decide to pull the plug on dice.

I search all over the floor for a $25 3:2 game and a boss explains that they are expecting some large players in HL and had to pull staff and couldn't open a $25 table on the floor. I suck it up and buy into a $10 6:5 game. I decide to just play at green anyway. GF's mom joins me and there is already another green chip player when I get there. Things are running breakeven until GF's mom and I start making fatigue plays. I hit on a hard13 against a dealer low card and immediately realize my mistake but the card falls and it shows a 5. I'm good at 18, but the damn dealer draws to a 21. I don't mind losing my bet but the other green chip player loses what would have been a push. I've just become "that guy!" I felt terrible and apologize profusely. A few hands later GF's mom draws an extra card after busting. Being a double deck pitch game, the dealer only sees this after mom realizes what she did. Somewhere in the middle of all this, a prepster sits down with really bad mojo. He mumbles about seeing if he can lose 8 hands in a row after relocating from the adjacent table with his fellow prepsters. He goes up and down but stays generally miserable. He finally ducks out with about 4 greens left. The boss is able to open the same shoe game where I made the run on the previous day. Angry prepster sits down with a couple of his buds and immediately goes on tilt. He's slouching and buys more chips. He's got a $100 bet out and has to double for less. He loses the hand and commences to lose his shit. He stands, kicks the chair in, and slams his water bottle against a closed dice table. He throws in a loud FUCK for good measure. His friends are all laughing and drag him out of the casino before security can get there. Sore loser that guy. Those kind of people are hard to be around.

I don't recoup much on this table but manage to breakeven on this BJ session. It's time to head out so we round up everyone and take off for the airport. Total damage for this trip was probably between $500-700. I can't remember exactly because the GF kept needing to make withdrawals from my wallet. Her luck was running bad the entire trip. I lost count of how many bills she withdrew. She did manage to payback a couple after one good card session on the second night at the Cal.

I decided to write this TR up because I seem to only remember the really bad trips. After searching for previous TRs to remind myself of how bad things really were, it turns out the losses weren't so bad. This was definitely one of those good trips where the total loss was only fraction of what I brought. I had a lot of revelations this trip and will post some closing thoughts tomorrow. Time for bed.

Actually drove up to Tahoe today for a reunion. Probably hit Reno on the way home on Monday. All in all Vegas was a good trip. $25 bj kept me close to even this trip. I really like flat betting at higher denom and pressing less aggressively. I will never rack thousands at this level but it's still enough action to keep it interesting. I really enjoyed playing at empty tables. I know not to expect similar results every trip but there's something to the flat betting that makes it more likely to be break even.

Dice was the biggest loser again. I still enjoy the action but I'm glad to find another game to change things up. Dice has always been too volatile with mostly losing sessions. Maybe if I apply the same flat bet principle to dice I could break even more often. I may try this in Reno. My usual starting spread is $50. I'd have to think about how high to start to make it interesting. It's so common to see point seven outs that this could also be disastrous.

I really liked the Cromwell. The flamingo rooms were meh. If we stay on the strip I will definitely be looking for a comped room at the Cromwell. The only problem was the casino had so few tables open during the day. The last day they didn't even have a quarter bj game running.

I never realized this but the dealers on the strip are much more engaging than the downtown dealers. DT dealers are like robots. Very little personality. The dealers on the strip were so much more friendly. For this reason alone I will probably stay on the strip and play there during the day and head DT at night.

I've given up trying to work the comp game at CET props. I probably avg bet $40 on dice for 1-2 hrs a day and maybe $25 for bj at 1 hr per day. I don't expect much at this level but even if I committed all my play there, I still don't think it would change the offers. Same goes for downtown. This amount of action nets me about $50 a day in comps in Reno with an upfront spa suite comp. I know it's apples and oranges but Reno provides better value all around. I earned a grand total of $5 in CET reward credits over three days.

I'm planning to hit Reno on my way home on Monday and am thinking about going big since my gambling losses have been way less than expected this year. Also got a decent raise! I'll be thinking about what kind of action I can get out of $3k (usual 3 day bankroll) over a couple hours.

    Thanks for reading!

Awesome report.. Loved the details of your blackjack sessions! I'll be in Reno tomorrow, hoping to get a little bit of a bankroll for my November Vegas trip (highly unlikely lol). I really enjoyed living through your trip.

Good luck. Post up a report. If you're not Reno regular, I highly recommend the Atlantis. Top notch dealers. Great food options.

I may go back and post a report, was a fun night definitely! Didn't win, but had a good time anyway. I'm not a regular, but I will likely go more often. I was there in February as well. I think I will give Atlantis a shot next time.

Well I just got back from a 4 hour session at the Atlantis. Some exciting highlights but overall pretty bad. Celebrating a raise so decided to blow a 3 day bankroll in 1 day. Well, you know how that goes...

1.) CET Sucks for table players.
2.) Reno comps BETTER to craps players (ALL PROPERTIES). I've spoken with many casino managers in Reno & Vegas..and this is just the way it is..Reno has the "old-timers" way of thinking, that at the tables you'll lose BIG, vs. new-school of 10% HA penny slots that are consistent winners...
