Solo Birthday Week Trip Report for June 2-6, 2014

    My Trip Report

    I'm going to do what I usually do, one post = one day.

    June 2, 2014. Monday

    My Southwest flight took off from Houston at 6:15am & landed in Las Vegas at 7:08am. Made it to the Flamingo at 8:25am after a long shuttle ride. I was the last person dropped off. I was given the wrong bag by the driver. I was able to get to the driver before he took off. He quickly realized that he gave my bag to the previous people he dropped off at the Quad. We drove back to the Quad. He went inside and found the couple at the check in desk. They realized they had the wrong bag and were on the phone with the transport company. The driver came back out with my bag, gave it to me, and we went back to the Flamingo. It's now 8:40am. I went in, checked in, checked my bag, and went to breakfast at the Paradise Garden Buffet at the Flamingo. 9:20am. Not a wide selection of food, but still good food. Around 10am I went to the Linq. My first time being there. Nice, but not as big as I thought it would be.

    After the Linq I realized that what I had planned (Linq & Flamingo's habitat) wasn't going to last me till the Flamingo's check in time (4pm). Instead of going to the habitat, I decided to putz around the Strip taking pictures.

    I eventually decided that I would do one of my Tuesday activities on Monday. I figured the Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage would eat up some time. 1:56pm.

    I made my way back to the Flamingo. I got to the line to pick up my room key at 4pm. Had to wait 25 minutes to get it. After that I made my way to my room. I had a Fab Luxury room with a Strip View on the 20th floor. For some reason I had two queen size beds.

    Day 2. June 3, 2014. Tuesday.

    I woke up at 5:58am. I made it to Excalibur's buffet for breakfast at 7:49 am. I thought it had good food & a good selection. After that I went to the grand opening of Hershey's Chocolate World in front of New York New York. 9:00am. Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman was there.

    After the ceremony only VIPs were allowed in the store. I decided to go to the Luxor to pick up my ticket for my night's entertainment, the show Fantasy.

    Great pics I was thinking that the pics was really good from a DSLR camera.

    Pics look great. Better than I can get off my 5s but I don't want to carry a camera but I might if the quality it that good I might have to.
