I've been told that there are no more cheap $5 pai gow tables at the Golden Gate.

Is this correct? If so... that sucks big time. It was a great place to enjoy cheap gambling together with the nice dealers...

Sadly, the Pai Gow Poker table is gone.

They removed it in late 2013, and are not bringing it back (confirmed by my April visit).

The only choice left downtown is at the D - with their loud Pai Gow Mania table still left.

There's one at the DTG, and the limit is only $5 much of the time. Also at the Plaza, though it's usually $10.

Although I prefer the Pai Gow version at The D... I did play another version of Pai Gow at the California casino in December... it was fun... just not as many extras as the one at The D. I find a Pai Gow game is able to entertain me for quite a long time and while I haven't become rich playing it... I usually don't lose a lot of money either! The chance of hitting the "big one" on one of the side bets is what keeps me going back!!

Downtown Grand took out their table 2 weeks ago. We went there after The D's table was full and found out that they took it out in favor of a double deck blackjack game.

Options for Pai Gow Poker in downtown, now, is Plaza, California, Main. Street, Fremont, Binions, Four Queens, The D, and El Coretz.

Golden Nugget also has Pai Gow......table limits are often $10, but the game is commission free which I appreciate.

I should have added that the only choice 'for lookin' at some fine dancers' is now at the D.

You have no idea how many hours I logged at the Golden Gate Pai Gow table. Every weekend dealer knew me by name and vice versa.
When I went for Super Bowl weekend, several of the dealers told me they thought of me when they found out no more Pai Gow and knew I would be bummed (as I was when I was next in) when I would find out.

I know spend time playing at Binions but it doesn't have the same feel and fun that the Gate had.

Unless they've brought it back, there is no Pai-Gow at ElCo. We were there in mid June and didn't see one...went there specifically for Pai Gow..and the free play on our cards. I will be glad if they put it back in. That's where we learned to play and we had lots of fun playing there
